इन्द्राग्नी

य॒ज्ञस्य॒ हि स्थ ऋ॒त्विजा॒ सस्नी॒ वाजे॑षु॒ कर्म॑सु ।इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ तस्य॑ बोधतम्

तुम दोनों ही यज्ञ के ऋत्विज हो, और संग्रामों तथा यज्ञकर्मों में धन जीतने वाले हो। हे इन्द्र और अग्नि, इस यज्ञ की ओर ध्यान दो।

You two are the officiants of the sacrifice, winners in the contests for prizes and in the ritual work. Indra and Agni, take notice of this.

तो॒शासा॑ रथ॒यावा॑ना वृत्र॒हणाप॑राजिता ।इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ तस्य॑ बोधतम्

तुम दोनों शत्रुओं का नाश करने वाले, रथ पर चलने वाले, वृत्र को मारने वाले और कभी न हारने वाले हो। हे इन्द्र और अग्नि, इस यज्ञ की ओर ध्यान दो।

Generous ones, chariot-drivers, Vṛtra-slayers, never defeated: Indra and Agni, take notice of this.

इ॒दं वां॑ मदि॒रं मध्वधु॑क्ष॒न्नद्रि॑भि॒र्नरः॑ ।इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ तस्य॑ बोधतम्

यह मादक मधु (सोमरस) मनुष्यों ने पत्थरों से कूटकर तुम दोनों के लिए निकाला है। हे इन्द्र और अग्नि, इसकी ओर ध्यान दो।

The men have pressed out for you, with the stones, this intoxicating honey. Indra and Agni, take notice of this.

जु॒षेथां॑ य॒ज्ञमि॒ष्टये॑ सु॒तं सोमं॑ सधस्तुती ।इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ आ ग॑तं नरा

हमारी कामना पूरी हो, इसके लिए इस यज्ञ और निचोड़े हुए सोम को स्वीकार करो; हे साथ-साथ स्तुति किए जाने वाले वीर इन्द्र और अग्नि, यहाँ आओ।

Enjoy the sacrifice, the pressed soma, for the offering, you two who are praised together. Indra and Agni, come here, you heroes.

इ॒मा जु॑षेथां॒ सव॑ना॒ येभि॑र्ह॒व्यान्यू॒हथुः॑ ।इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ आ ग॑तं नरा

इन सोम-अभिषवों को स्वीकार करो, जिनके द्वारा तुमने हवियों को (देवों तक) पहुँचाया है। हे वीर इन्द्र और अग्नि, यहाँ आओ।

Enjoy these soma-pressings, through which you have carried the oblations. Indra and Agni, come here, you heroes.

इ॒मां गा॑य॒त्रव॑र्तनिं जु॒षेथां॑ सुष्टु॒तिं मम॑ ।इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ आ ग॑तं नरा

गायत्री छन्द में चलने वाली मेरी इस सुन्दर स्तुति को स्वीकार करो। हे वीर इन्द्र और अग्नि, यहाँ आओ।

Enjoy this fine praise of mine, which runs along the track of the gāyatra song. Indra and Agni, come here, you heroes.

प्रा॒त॒र्याव॑भि॒रा ग॑तं दे॒वेभि॑र्जेन्यावसू ।इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ सोम॑पीतये

हे उत्तम धन वाले इन्द्र और अग्नि, प्रातःकाल आने वाले देवों के साथ सोम पीने के लिए यहाँ आओ।

Come with the gods who travel at dawn, you two whose goods are worth winning, Indra and Agni, to drink the soma.

श्या॒वाश्व॑स्य सुन्व॒तोऽत्री॑णां शृणुतं॒ हव॑म् ।इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ सोम॑पीतये

सोम निचोड़ते हुए श्यावाश्व की और अत्रिवंशियों की पुकार सुनो। हे इन्द्र और अग्नि, सोम पीने के लिए (आओ)।

Hear the call of Śyāvāśva, who presses soma, and of the Atris. Indra and Agni, come to drink the soma.

ए॒वा वा॑मह्व ऊ॒तये॒ यथाहु॑वन्त॒ मेधि॑राः ।इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ सोम॑पीतये

इस प्रकार मैंने तुम दोनों को रक्षा के लिए बुलाया है, जैसे बुद्धिमान् ऋषियों ने बुलाया था। हे इन्द्र और अग्नि, सोम पीने के लिए (आओ)।

In this way I have called you for help, just as the wise poets have called you. Indra and Agni, come to drink the soma.

आहं सर॑स्वतीवतोरिन्द्रा॒ग्न्योरवो॑ वृणे ।याभ्यां॑ गाय॒त्रमृ॒च्यते॑

मैं सरस्वती के साथ आए हुए इन्द्र और अग्नि की सहायता माँगता हूँ, जिन दोनों के लिए यह गायत्र-गान गाया जाता है।

I choose the help of Indra and Agni, who are accompanied by Sarasvatī, and for whom the gāyatra song is chanted.
