इन्द्र:

आ प्र द्र॑व परा॒वतोऽ॑र्वा॒वत॑श्च वृत्रहन् ।मध्वः॒ प्रति॒ प्रभ॑र्मणि

हे वृत्र को मारनेवाले इन्द्र, दूर से और निकट से — दौड़कर यहाँ आ जाओ, जहाँ मधुर सोम तुम्हारे सामने रखा जा रहा है।

Run here, Vritra-slayer, from far away and from nearby, to the offering of the honeyed drink.

ती॒व्राः सोमा॑स॒ आ ग॑हि सु॒तासो॑ मादयि॒ष्णवः॑ ।पिबा॑ द॒धृग्यथो॑चि॒षे

सोम तीखे हैं, निचोड़े जा चुके हैं और मद देनेवाले हैं — आ जाओ। जैसी तुम्हारी आदत है, वैसे ही निडर होकर पी लो।

The soma drinks are sharp. Come here: once pressed, they are intoxicating. Drink boldly, as you usually do.

इ॒षा म॑न्द॒स्वादु॒ तेऽरं॒ वरा॑य म॒न्यवे॑ ।भुव॑त्त इन्द्र॒ शं हृ॒दे

इस पुष्टिकर पेय से प्रसन्न हो जाओ; इन्होंने तुम्हारी इच्छा और रुचि के अनुसार तुम्हें भरपूर दिया है। हे इन्द्र, यह तुम्हारे हृदय को सुख दे।

Enjoy the refreshment, and then it will be enough for your choice and your fighting spirit. Let it bring comfort to your heart, Indra.

आ त्व॑शत्र॒वा ग॑हि॒ न्यु१॒॑क्थानि॑ च हूयसे ।उ॒प॒मे रो॑च॒ने दि॒वः

हे शत्रुरहित इन्द्र, आ जाओ; स्तोत्रों के द्वारा तुम्हें नीचे बुलाया जा रहा है — आकाश के सबसे ऊँचे प्रकाशमान लोक से।

Come here, you who have no rival. You are called down to the hymns from the highest bright realm of heaven.

तुभ्या॒यमद्रि॑भिः सु॒तो गोभिः॑ श्री॒तो मदा॑य॒ कम् ।प्र सोम॑ इन्द्र हूयते

हे इन्द्र, यह सोम तुम्हारे लिए ही पत्थरों से निचोड़ा गया, दूध में मिलाया गया और मद के लिए तैयार किया गया है — यही सोम तुम्हें अर्पित किया जा रहा है।

This soma is for you, Indra. It has been pressed with stones and mixed with milk to make you drunk with joy, and it is being poured out as an offering.

इन्द्र॑ श्रु॒धि सु मे॒ हव॑म॒स्मे सु॒तस्य॒ गोम॑तः ।वि पी॒तिं तृ॒प्तिम॑श्नुहि

हे इन्द्र, मेरी पुकार ध्यान से सुनो; हमारे यहाँ दूध मिलाकर निचोड़े गए सोम का पान करो और तृप्ति पाओ।

Indra, listen well to my call. Here with us, take your fill of the pressed soma mixed with milk: drink it and be satisfied.

हे इन्द्र, जो सोम चमसों में है और जो कलशों में तुम्हारे लिए निचोड़ा गया है — उसे पी लो; तुम्हीं उसके स्वामी हो।

Indra, the soma pressed for you in the cups and the bowls: drink it. You are its master.

यो अ॒प्सु च॒न्द्रमा॑ इव॒ सोम॑श्च॒मूषु॒ ददृ॑शे ।पिबेद॑स्य॒ त्वमी॑शिषे

जो सोम कलशों में जल में चन्द्रमा की तरह चमकता दिखता है — उसे पी लो; तुम्हीं उसके स्वामी हो।

The soma that shines in the bowls like the moon in the waters: drink it. You are its master.

यं ते॑ श्ये॒नः प॒दाभ॑रत्ति॒रो रजां॒स्यस्पृ॑तम् ।पिबेद॑स्य॒ त्वमी॑शिषे

जिस सोम को श्येन अपने पंजे में अन्तरिक्ष के पार से तुम्हारे लिए ले आया, और जिसे कोई छीन नहीं सका — उसे पी लो; तुम्हीं उसके स्वामी हो।

The soma that the falcon carried for you in its talons across the airy spaces, without letting it be snatched away: drink it. You are its master.
