इन्द्र:

पिबा॒ सोम॑मिन्द्र॒ मन्द॑तु त्वा॒ यं ते॑ सु॒षाव॑ हर्य॒श्वाद्रिः॑ ।सो॒तुर्बा॒हुभ्यां॒ सुय॑तो॒ नार्वा॑

हे इन्द्र, सोम पी — वह तुझे आनन्द से भर दे, जिसे हे हर्यश्व, तेरे लिए पत्थर ने निचोड़ा है। निचोड़नेवाले की भुजाओं से वह पत्थर ऐसे वश में चलता है जैसे लगाम से घोड़ा।

Drink the soma, Indra, and let it delight you, lord of the fallow bay horses. The pressing stone has pressed it for you, guided well by the presser's arms like a horse held by its reins.

यस्ते॒ मदो॒ युज्य॒श्चारु॒रस्ति॒ येन॑ वृ॒त्राणि॑ हर्यश्व॒ हंसि॑ ।स त्वामि॑न्द्र प्रभूवसो ममत्तु

तेरा जो हर्ष तेरे अनुरूप और प्रिय है, जिससे हे हर्यश्व, तू शत्रुओं का संहार करता है — हे धन से भरपूर इन्द्र, वही हर्ष तुझे मत्त करे।

The exhilaration that is your fitting and pleasing companion, the one with which you strike down obstacles, lord of the fallow bays: let that delight you, Indra, master of abundant wealth.

बोधा॒ सु मे॑ मघव॒न्वाच॒मेमां यां ते॒ वसि॑ष्ठो॒ अर्च॑ति॒ प्रश॑स्तिम् ।इ॒मा ब्रह्म॑ सध॒मादे॑ जुषस्व

हे मघवन्, मेरी इस वाणी को ध्यान से सुन — उस प्रशस्ति को, जिसे वसिष्ठ तेरे लिए गाता है। सोमपान के इस साझे उत्सव में इन स्तोत्रों को स्वीकार कर।

श्रु॒धी हवं॑ विपिपा॒नस्याद्रे॒र्बोधा॒ विप्र॒स्यार्च॑तो मनी॒षाम् ।कृ॒ष्वा दुवां॒स्यन्त॑मा॒ सचे॒मा

सोम पीते हुए पत्थर की पुकार सुन, स्तुति करते विप्र की मनीषा को जान। इन सेवाओं को अपने सबसे निकट कर — हम तेरे संग रहें।

न ते॒ गिरो॒ अपि॑ मृष्ये तु॒रस्य॒ न सु॑ष्टु॒तिम॑सु॒र्य॑स्य वि॒द्वान् ।सदा॑ ते॒ नाम॑ स्वयशो विवक्मि

हे वेगवान्, मैं तेरी स्तुतियों की अवहेलना नहीं करता, न तेरी — प्रभुसत्ता से युक्त की — सुस्तुति की, क्योंकि मैं जानता हूँ। हे स्वयं कीर्तिमान्, सदा तेरा नाम मैं उच्चारता हूँ।

I know your songs, mighty one, and I do not neglect them, nor the fine praise of your lordship. Always I proclaim your name, you who are glorious in your own right.

भूरि॒ हि ते॒ सव॑ना॒ मानु॑षेषु॒ भूरि॑ मनी॒षी ह॑वते॒ त्वामित् ।मारे अ॒स्मन्म॑घव॒ञ्ज्योक्कः॑

मनुष्यों में तेरे लिए बहुत सोम-सवन होते हैं, और मनीषी बार-बार तुझे ही बुलाता है। हे मघवन्, हमसे दूर बहुत समय तक न रह।

Many are your soma pressings among men, and many times the inspired thinker calls on you alone. Do not stay far from us for long, Maghavan.

तुभ्येदि॒मा सव॑ना शूर॒ विश्वा॒ तुभ्यं॒ ब्रह्मा॑णि॒ वर्ध॑ना कृणोमि ।त्वं नृभि॒र्हव्यो॑ वि॒श्वधा॑सि

हे शूर, ये सब सवन तेरे ही लिए हैं; तेरे लिए मैं तुझे बढ़ानेवाले स्तोत्र रचता हूँ। तू हर प्रकार से मनुष्यों के आह्वान के योग्य है।

All these pressings are for you, hero. For you I make these formulations that make you stronger. You are the one men must call on, at all times and in every way.

नू चि॒न्नु ते॒ मन्य॑मानस्य द॒स्मोद॑श्नुवन्ति महि॒मान॑मुग्र ।न वी॒र्य॑मिन्द्र ते॒ न राधः॑

हे अद्भुत कर्मवाले, हे उग्र — तेरी, उस महामनस्वी की, महिमा तक लोग कभी नहीं पहुँच पाते; हे इन्द्र, न तेरे वीर्य तक, न तेरे दान तक।

Never do they reach your greatness, wondrous and mighty one, however they think of you: not your heroic strength, Indra, and not your generosity.

ये च॒ पूर्व॒ ऋष॑यो॒ ये च॒ नूत्ना॒ इन्द्र॒ ब्रह्मा॑णि ज॒नय॑न्त॒ विप्राः॑ ।अ॒स्मे ते॑ सन्तु स॒ख्या शि॒वानि॑ यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभिः॒ सदा॑ नः

जो पूर्व ऋषि थे और जो नये — हे इन्द्र, उन विप्रों ने तेरे लिए स्तोत्र रचे। तेरी कल्याणकारी मित्रता हमें प्राप्त हो; तुम सब कल्याणों के साथ सदा हमारी रक्षा करो।
