नये घर की स्थापनाFounding a new house

इहैव ध्रुवां नि मिनोमि शालां क्षेमे तिष्ठाति घृतम् उक्षमाणा ।तां त्वा शाले सर्ववीराः सुवीरा अरिष्टवीरा उप सं चरेम

मैं यहीं इस घर को मज़बूती से स्थापित करता हूँ; यह घी बरसाता हुआ कुशल-क्षेम में खड़ा रहे। हे शाला, हम सब अपने वीरों के साथ, अच्छे वीरों वाले और बिना किसी हानि वाले वीरों के साथ तुम्हारे पास आते-जाते रहें।

Right here I set up this house so it stands firm; may it stand in safety, sprinkling ghee. House, may we come and go around you with all our men, with good men, with men unharmed.

इहैव ध्रुवा प्रति तिष्ठ शाले ऽश्वावती गोमती सून्ŕ̥तावती ।ऊर्जस्वती घृतवती पयस्वत्य् उच् छ्रयस्व महते सौभगाय

हे शाला, यहीं दृढ़ होकर खड़ी रहो, घोड़ों, गायों और आनन्द से भरी हुई। बल, घी और दूध से भरी तुम बड़े सौभाग्य के लिए ऊँची उठो।

House, stand firm right here, rich in horses, rich in cattle, rich in gladness. Rich in strength, in ghee, in milk, rise up for great good fortune.

धरुण्य् अ᳙सि शाले बृहछन्दाः पूतिधान्या ।आ त्वा वत्सो गमेद् आ कुमार आ धेनवः सायम् आस्पन्दमानाः

हे शाला, तुम सबको धारण करने वाली हो, ऊँची छत वाली और शुद्ध अन्न वाली। तुम्हारे पास बछड़ा आए, बालक आए, और साँझ को उछलती हुई दुधारू गायें आएँ।

House, you are a holder, broad-roofed, with clean grain. Let the calf come to you, and the boy, and the milch cows at evening, frisking as they come.

इमां शालां सविता वायुर् इन्द्रो ब्ŕ̥हस्पतिर् नि मिनोतु प्रजानन् ।उक्षन्तूद्ना मरुतो घृतेन भगो नो राजा नि कृषिं तनोतु

सविता, वायु, इन्द्र और बृहस्पति जानते-बूझते इस घर को स्थापित करें। मरुत इसे जल और घी से सींचें, और राजा भग हमारे लिए खेती का विस्तार करें।

May Savitar, Vayu, Indra and Brihaspati, who know how, set up this house. May the Maruts sprinkle it with water and with ghee, and may King Bhaga spread out our ploughing.

मानस्य पत्नि शरणा स्योना देवी देवेभिर् निमितास्य् अग्रे ।त्ŕ̥णं वसाना सुमना असस् त्वम् अथास्मभ्यं सहवीरं रयिं दाः

हे मापकर बनाए गए भवन की स्वामिनी, तुम शरण देने वाली और सुखद हो; देवताओं ने तुम्हें, देवी, आरम्भ में स्थापित किया था। घास (छप्पर) ओढ़े हुए तुम प्रसन्न मन वाली रहो, और फिर हमें वीरों सहित धन दो।

Mistress of the measured dwelling, sheltering and pleasant, you, goddess, were set up by the gods in the beginning. Clothed in grass, be kindly disposed, and then give us wealth along with men.

ऋतेन स्थूणाम् अधि रोह वंशोग्रो विराजन्न् अप वृङ्क्ष्व शत्रून् ।मा ते रिषन्न् उपसत्तारो गृहाणां शाले शतं जीवेम शरदः सर्ववीराः

हे बाँस (शहतीर), ऋत के अनुसार खम्भे पर चढ़ो; प्रबल होकर, शोभित होते हुए शत्रुओं को दूर हटाओ। हे शाला, तुम्हारे घरों में बैठने वालों को हानि न हो; हम सब वीरों सहित सौ शरद जिएँ।

Roof-beam, mount the post in accordance with rta, and, mighty and shining, drive off our enemies. House, let no harm come to those who sit in your rooms; may we live a hundred autumns with all our men.

एमां कुमारस् तरुण आ वत्सो जगता सह ।एमाम् परिस्रुतः कुम्भ आ दध्नः कलशैर् अगुः

इस घर में बालक और तरुण आए हैं, और बछड़ा अपने साथ के पशुओं के साथ आया है। इसमें परिस्रुत (पेय) का घड़ा और दही के कलश आए हैं।

To this house have come the boy and the youth, and the calf with the moving herd. To it have come the jar of parisrut (a drink) and the pots of curds.

पूर्णं नारि प्र भर कुम्भम् एतं घृतस्य धाराम् अम्ŕ̥तेन संभृताम् ।इमां पातॄ᳓न् अम्ŕ̥तेन सम् अङ्ग्धीष्टापूर्तम् अभि रक्षात्य् एनाम्

हे नारी, यह भरा हुआ घड़ा आगे लाओ, अमृत से मिली घी की धारा। इन पीने वालों को अमृत से अभिषिक्त करो; इष्टापूर्त (यज्ञ और दान का पुण्य) इस घर की रक्षा करे।

Woman, bring forward this full jar, a stream of ghee mixed with amrita. Anoint these drinkers with amrita; may the merit of sacrifices and gifts protect this house.

इमा आपः प्र भराम्य् अयक्ष्मा यक्ष्मनाशनीः ।गृहान् उप प्र सीदाम्य् अम्ŕ̥तेन सहाग्निना

मैं ये जल लाता हूँ जो रोग से मुक्त हैं और यक्ष्मा का नाश करने वाले हैं। मैं अमर अग्नि के साथ इन घरों में प्रवेश करके बैठता हूँ।

I bring these waters, free of yakshma (wasting disease) and destroying yakshma. I enter and settle in these houses together with immortal Agni.
