पवमान: सोम:

ए॒ते सोमा॑स आ॒शवो॒ रथा॑ इव॒ प्र वा॒जिनः॑ ।सर्गाः॑ सृ॒ष्टा अ॑हेषत

ये सोम-धाराएँ वेगवान हैं, रथों की तरह, दौड़ने वाले घोड़ों की तरह आगे बढ़ती हैं — छोड़े गए जल-प्रवाहों की तरह ये तेज़ी से दौड़ पड़ी हैं।

These swift soma drinks, like chariots, like prize-winning horses, have surged forward, let loose like released streams.

ए॒ते वाता॑ इवो॒रवः॑ प॒र्जन्य॑स्येव वृ॒ष्टयः॑ ।अ॒ग्नेरि॑व भ्र॒मा वृथा॑

ये सोम वायुओं की तरह विस्तृत हैं, पर्जन्य की वर्षा-धाराओं की तरह हैं, और अग्नि की लपटों की तरह सहज ही (बिना रोक) फैलते हैं।

These are as wide-ranging as the winds, like Parjanya's rains, like the whirling flames of Agni, moving freely as they please.

ए॒ते पू॒ता वि॑प॒श्चितः॒ सोमा॑सो॒ दध्या॑शिरः ।वि॒पा व्या॑नशु॒र्धियः॑

ये छने हुए, प्रेरणा देने वाले, दही में मिलाए गए सोम अपनी प्रेरित वाणी से हमारी स्तुतियों तक पहुँच गए हैं।

These purified, inspired soma juices, mixed with curds, have reached the poets' visions through their inspiration.

ए॒ते मृ॒ष्टा अम॑र्त्याः ससृ॒वांसो॒ न श॑श्रमुः ।इय॑क्षन्तः प॒थो रजः॑

ये साफ़ किए गए, अमर सोम इतना बहने पर भी थके नहीं; ये अपने मार्गों और अन्तरिक्ष की ओर बढ़ते जाते हैं।

These immortals, cleansed, have not grown tired as they run, seeking to reach the paths and the airy space.

ए॒ते पृ॒ष्ठानि॒ रोद॑सोर्विप्र॒यन्तो॒ व्या॑नशुः ।उ॒तेदमु॑त्त॒मं रजः॑

ये आगे फैलते हुए सोम आकाश और पृथ्वी की ऊपरी सतहों तक पहुँच गए, और इस सबसे ऊँचे लोक तक भी।

These, spreading out in different directions, have reached the heights of heaven and earth, and this highest realm as well.

तन्तुं॑ तन्वा॒नमु॑त्त॒ममनु॑ प्र॒वत॑ आशत ।उ॒तेदमु॑त्त॒माय्य॑म्

ऊपर तक फैलाए जा रहे उत्तम तन्तु के साथ-साथ वे ढलानों से बहकर पहुँचे, और इस सबसे ऊँचे प्राप्य स्थान तक भी।

Down the slopes they have reached the highest thread as it is being stretched out, and also this that is to be made highest.

त्वं सो॑म प॒णिभ्य॒ आ वसु॒ गव्या॑नि धारयः ।त॒तं तन्तु॑मचिक्रदः

हे सोम, तूने पणियों से गौओं वाला धन छीनकर (हमारे लिए) थाम रखा; तूने फैले हुए तन्तु को गुँजा दिया।

You, Soma, took the wealth in cattle away from the Paṇis and held it fast; you roared toward the thread that was stretched out.
