Drive here toward us, standing on the chariot-box; the soma-drinking has been yours from of old. Unyoke your two dear companions beside the ritual grass; these men who carry the offerings are calling you.

Drive past the many peoples, toward the hopes of the stranger, here to us with your two fallow bays. For these thoughts, shaped into praise songs, are calling you, Indra, as they take pleasure in your friendship.

God Indra, come quickly with your bays to our sacrifice, which is made strong by reverence, and share in it with us. For I call you again and again with my thoughts, bringing an offering of ghee, at the shared feast of sweet drinks.

And let these two bulls carry you here: the fallow bays, comrades, good at the yoke, well-built in body. Indra, enjoying the pressing that comes with roasted grain, will hear, as a friend, his friend's songs of praise.

Will you make me herdsman of the people? Will you make me king, generous one, lord of the soma-dregs? Will you make me a seer who has drunk the pressed soma? Will you give me a share of immortal wealth?

Let the tall bays, once yoked, carry you here toward us, Indra, companions in the feast: the well-groomed, eager horses of the bull, who stretch out across heaven in two directions as they arrive.

Indra, drink the bull-soma, pressed by the bull, which the falcon brought to you when you longed for it. In its intoxication you make the peoples tremble; in its intoxication you opened up the cow-pens.

For good fortune we would call on Indra the generous, the manliest one in this contest, at the winning of prizes: the formidable one who listens, who brings help in battles, who smashes obstacles and wins riches.
