पवमान: सोम:

ज॒नय॑न्रोच॒ना दि॒वो ज॒नय॑न्न॒प्सु सूर्य॑म् ।वसा॑नो॒ गा अ॒पो हरिः॑

वह हरित वर्ण का (सोम) आकाश के प्रकाशमान लोकों को उत्पन्न करता हुआ और जलों में सूर्य को उत्पन्न करता हुआ, दूध और जल को वस्त्र की तरह धारण करता है।

Bringing the lights of heaven into being, bringing the sun into being in the waters, the tawny one clothes himself in cows and waters.

ए॒ष प्र॒त्नेन॒ मन्म॑ना दे॒वो दे॒वेभ्य॒स्परि॑ ।धार॑या पवते सु॒तः

यह देव सोम, निचोड़ा जाकर, प्राचीन स्तोत्र के साथ धारा के रूप में बहता हुआ देवों की ओर शुद्ध होता है।

This god, once pressed, purifies himself in a stream for the gods, in keeping with the ancient thought.

वा॒वृ॒धा॒नाय॒ तूर्व॑ये॒ पव॑न्ते॒ वाज॑सातये ।सोमाः॑ स॒हस्र॑पाजसः

हज़ार रूपों वाले सोमरस बढ़े हुए और शत्रुओं को पार करने वाले (इन्द्र) के लिए, बल और अन्न की प्राप्ति के लिए बहते हैं।

For the one who has grown strong, the conqueror, and for the winning of prizes, the soma drinks of thousandfold vigour purify themselves.

दु॒हा॒नः प्र॒त्नमित्पयः॑ प॒वित्रे॒ परि॑ षिच्यते ।क्रन्द॑न्दे॒वाँ अ॑जीजनत्

वह प्राचीन दूध को दुहता हुआ छानने के पवित्र (ऊन के छन्ने) पर चारों ओर उड़ेला जाता है; गरजता हुआ उसने देवों को उत्पन्न किया।

Milking out the age-old milk, he is poured around into the filter; roaring, he has brought the gods into being.

अ॒भि विश्वा॑नि॒ वार्या॒भि दे॒वाँ ऋ॑ता॒वृधः॑ ।सोमः॑ पुना॒नो अ॑र्षति

शुद्ध होता हुआ सोम सब वांछित धनों की ओर और ऋत को बढ़ाने वाले देवों की ओर बहता है।

Toward all desirable things, toward the gods who strengthen truth, Soma flows as he is purified.

गोम॑न्नः सोम वी॒रव॒दश्वा॑व॒द्वाज॑वत्सु॒तः ।पव॑स्व बृह॒तीरिषः॑

हे सोम, निचोड़े जाकर हमारे लिए गौओं, वीर पुत्रों, घोड़ों और बल से युक्त (धन) बहाओ; हमारे लिए विपुल अन्न बहाओ।

Now that you are pressed, Soma, purify yourself toward us as vast refreshments, rich in cattle, heroes, horses and prizes.
