इन्द्र:

योनि॑ष्ट इन्द्र॒ सद॑ने अकारि॒ तमा नृभिः॑ पुरुहूत॒ प्र या॑हि ।असो॒ यथा॑ नोऽवि॒ता वृ॒धे च॒ ददो॒ वसू॑नि म॒मद॑श्च॒ सोमैः॑

हे इन्द्र, यज्ञ-गृह में तुम्हारे लिए आसन बना दिया गया है; हे बहुतों के द्वारा बुलाए जाने वाले, पुरुषों (यजमानों-पुरोहितों) के साथ उस आसन की ओर आओ। जिससे तुम हमारे रक्षक हो और हमारी वृद्धि के लिए धन दो, और सोमों से आनन्दित हो।

A seat has been prepared for you to sit in, Indra. Drive forth to it with your men, you who are called on by many, so that you may be our helper and help us grow, give us goods, and become exhilarated on the soma drinks.

गृ॒भी॒तं ते॒ मन॑ इन्द्र द्वि॒बर्हाः॑ सु॒तः सोमः॒ परि॑षिक्ता॒ मधू॑नि ।विसृ॑ष्टधेना भरते सुवृ॒क्तिरि॒यमिन्द्रं॒ जोहु॑वती मनी॒षा

हे इन्द्र, तुम्हारा मन (हमारी ओर) बँध गया है; दुगुनी शक्ति वाला सोम निकाला जा चुका है, मधुर रस चारों ओर ढाले जा चुके हैं। यह मनीषा (स्तुति-बुद्धि) खुली वाणी के साथ इन्द्र को ज़ोर से पुकारती हुई सुन्दर स्तोत्र लिए आती है।

Your mind has been captured, Indra, you who are doubly strong. The soma is pressed and the honeyed drinks are poured around. This well-twisted hymn, this inspired thought, comes forward with its milk-cows let loose, calling on Indra again and again.

आ नो॑ दि॒व आ पृ॑थि॒व्या ऋ॑जीषिन्नि॒दं ब॒र्हिः सो॑म॒पेया॑य याहि ।वह॑न्तु त्वा॒ हर॑यो म॒द्र्य॑ञ्चमाङ्गू॒षमच्छा॑ त॒वसं॒ मदा॑य

हे ऋजीषिन् (सोम-ऋजीष के पीने वाले), द्युलोक से, पृथ्वी से हमारे पास, इस बर्हि (कुश-आसन) पर सोमपान के लिए आओ। तुम्हारे हरि (बाय घोड़े) तुम्हें, बलवान् को, मेरी ओर मुड़ा हुआ, आनन्द के लिए इस गान की ओर ले आएँ।

Come to us from heaven, come from earth, ṛjīṣin, to this barhis to drink soma. Let your fallow bay horses bring you here, toward me and toward this hymn, you the mighty one, so that you may be exhilarated.

आ नो॒ विश्वा॑भिरू॒तिभिः॑ स॒जोषा॒ ब्रह्म॑ जुषा॒णो ह॑र्यश्व याहि ।वरी॑वृज॒त्स्थवि॑रेभिः सुशिप्रा॒स्मे दध॒द्वृष॑णं॒ शुष्म॑मिन्द्र

हे हर्यश्व (हरि घोड़ों वाले), अपनी सब सहायताओं के साथ, एक मन होकर, हमारे ब्रह्म (स्तुति) में प्रसन्न होते हुए हमारे पास आओ। हे सुशिप्र इन्द्र, बलवान् (घोड़ों) के साथ (बाधाओं को) हटाते हुए हममें पौरुषपूर्ण शुष्म (बल) रखो।

Come to us with all your forms of help, in harmony with us and enjoying our sacred formulation, you of the fallow bay horses. Twisting [others] aside with your sturdy [companions], you with handsome jaws, place in us a bull's strength, Indra.

ए॒ष स्तोमो॑ म॒ह उ॒ग्राय॒ वाहे॑ धु॒री॒३॒॑वात्यो॒ न वा॒जय॑न्नधायि ।इन्द्र॑ त्वा॒यम॒र्क ई॑ट्टे॒ वसू॑नां दि॒वी॑व॒ द्यामधि॑ नः॒ श्रोम॑तं धाः

यह स्तोम महान् उग्र (इन्द्र) को लाने के लिए, रथ के जुए में जुते घोड़े की तरह, वेग करते हुए जोड़ा गया है। हे इन्द्र, यह अर्क (गान) तुमसे धनों की याचना करता है; हमारी कीर्ति को आकाश में द्युलोक के समान ऊँची कर दो।

This praise song has been put in place for the great and formidable draught-horse, like a racehorse at the chariot-pole striving for the prize. Indra, this chant begs you for goods. Like heaven upon heaven, place renown upon us.

ए॒वा न॑ इन्द्र॒ वार्य॑स्य पूर्धि॒ प्र ते॑ म॒हीं सु॑म॒तिं वे॑विदाम ।इषं॑ पिन्व म॒घव॑द्भ्यः सु॒वीरां॑ यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभिः॒ सदा॑ नः

हे इन्द्र, इस प्रकार हमें वांछित धन से भर दो; हम तुम्हारी महान् कृपा-दृष्टि को प्राप्त करें। दान देने वाले यजमानों के लिए वीर-पुत्रों वाले अन्न को बढ़ाओ — तुम (देवगण) कल्याणों से सदा हमारी रक्षा करो।

In this way, Indra, fill us with things worth having; may we fully gain your great goodwill. Make nourishment rich in heroes swell for our generous patrons. You gods, always protect us with blessings.
