विष का निवारणCharm against venom

तिरश्चिराजेर् असितात् प्ŕ̥दाकोः परि संभृतम् ।तत् कङ्कपर्वणो विषम् इयं वीरुद् अनीनशत्

तिरछी धारियों वाले, काले और पृदाकु साँप से जो विष इकट्ठा हुआ है, और कङ्कपर्वा का जो विष है, उसे इस वनस्पति ने नष्ट कर दिया है।

The venom gathered from the cross-striped snake, the black snake and the adder, the venom of the kankaparvan: this plant has destroyed it.

इयं वीरुन् मधुजाता मधुश्चुन् मधुला मधूः ।सा विह्रुतस्य भेषज्य् अथो मशकजम्भनी

यह वनस्पति मधु से जन्मी है, मधु टपकाती है, मधुमय है, स्वयं मधु है। यह विह्रुत (घायल या टेढ़े हुए अंग) की औषधि है और मच्छरों को कुचलने वाली भी है।

This plant is born of honey, drips honey, is full of honey, is honey itself. It is the remedy for what is wrenched, and it also crushes mosquitoes.

यतो दष्टं यतो धीतं ततस् ते निर् ह्वयामसि ।अर्भस्य तृप्रदंशिनो मशकस्यारसं विषम्

जहाँ से काटा गया है, जहाँ से चूसा गया है, वहीं से हम तुम्हारे (विष को) बाहर बुलाते हैं। छोटे, तीखा डंक मारने वाले मच्छर का विष निःसार है।

From where it bit, from where it sucked, from there we call the venom out of you. The venom of the small, sharp-stinging mosquito is powerless.

अयं यो वक्रो विपरुर् व्य᳙ङ्गो मुखानि वक्रा वृजिना कृणोषि ।तानि त्वं ब्रह्मणस् पते इषीकाम् इव सं नमः

यह जो टेढ़ा है, बिना जोड़ों का और बिना अंगों का है, तू जो टेढ़े और कुटिल मुँह बनाता है, हे ब्रह्मणस्पति, तुम उन्हें सरकंडे की तरह मोड़कर झुका दो।

This crooked one, without joints and without limbs, you who make crooked, twisted mouths: Brahmanaspati, bend them together like a reed.

अरसस्य शर्कोटस्य नीचीनस्योपसर्पतः ।विषं ह्य् अ᳙स्यादिष्य् अथो एनम् अजीजभम्

नीचे रेंगकर पास आते निःसार शर्कोट का विष मैंने निकाल लिया है, और फिर इसे (शर्कोट को) कुचल दिया है।

I have taken away the venom of the powerless sharkota that creeps up low along the ground, and I have crushed it (the sharkota).

न ते बाह्वोर् बलम् अस्ति न शीर्षे नोत मध्यतः ।अथ किं पापया ऽमुया पुछे बिभर्ष्य् अर्भकम्

न तेरी भुजाओं में बल है, न सिर में, न बीच के भाग में। फिर तू इतनी दुष्टता से अपनी पूँछ में वह छोटी-सी चीज़ क्यों ढोता है?

There is no strength in your arms, none in your head, none in your middle. Then why do you carry that little thing in your tail with such malice?

अदन्ति त्वा पिपीलिका वि वृश्चन्ति मयूर्यः᳙ ।सर्वे भल ब्रवाथ शार्कोटम् अरसं विषम्

चींटियाँ तुझे खाती हैं, मोरनियाँ तुझे काटकर टुकड़े करती हैं। तुम सब सचमुच कहो कि शर्कोट का विष निःसार है।

Ants eat you, peahens hack you to pieces. All of you, indeed, say it: the sharkota's venom is powerless.

य उभाभ्यां प्रहरसि पुछेन चास्ये᳙न च ।आस्ये᳙ न ते विषं किम् उ ते पुछधाव् असत्

तू जो दोनों से वार करता है, पूँछ से भी और मुँह से भी: तेरे मुँह में विष नहीं है, तो तेरी पूँछ की थैली में भला कैसे होगा?

You who strike with both, with your tail and with your mouth: there is no venom in your mouth, so how could there be any in your tail-pouch?
