विदा मघवन् विदा गातुमनुशँसिषो दिशः शिक्षा शचीनां पते पूर्वीणां पुरूवसो

हे मघवन्, मार्ग खोज दो, मार्ग खोज दो; हमें दिशाएँ बताओ। हे शक्तियों के स्वामी, हे बहुत धन वाले, हमें दान दो।

Find the way, Maghavan, find the way; point out the directions to us. Give to us, lord of powers, you who are rich in many goods.

आभिष्ट्वमभिष्टिभिः स्वाऽ३र्न्नाँशुः प्रचेतन प्रचेतयेन्द्र द्युम्नाय न इषे

हे प्रचेतन (जागरूक) इन्द्र, अपनी इन सहायताओं के साथ, सूर्य के समान, सोम की डंठल के समान, हमें यश और अन्न के लिए सचेत करो।

With these aids of yours, wise one, like the sun, like the soma stalk, make us alert, Indra, for glory and for nourishment.

एवा हि शक्रो राये वाजाय वज्रिवः शविष्ठ वज्रिन्नृञ्जसे मँहिष्ठ वज्रिन्नृञ्जस आ याहि पिब मत्स्व

हे वज्रधारी, तुम सचमुच धन और बल के लिए समर्थ (शक्र) हो। हे सबसे बलवान वज्री, तुम आगे बढ़ते हो; हे सबसे उदार वज्री, तुम आगे बढ़ते हो। आओ, पियो, आनन्दित हो।

Thus you are indeed the mighty one, vajra-bearer, for wealth and for strength. Mightiest vajra-bearer, you press straight on; most generous vajra-bearer, you press straight on. Come, drink, and be gladdened.

विदा राये सुवीर्यं भवो वाजानां पतिर्वशाँ अनु मँहिष्ठ वज्रिन्नृञ्जसे यः शविष्ठः शूराणाम्

धन के लिए उत्तम वीरता खोज दो; तुम इच्छा के अनुसार बलों (पुरस्कारों) के स्वामी हो। हे सबसे उदार वज्री, तुम आगे बढ़ते हो—तुम जो वीरों में सबसे बलवान हो।

Find abundant heroic strength for wealth; you are lord of prizes as you will. Most generous vajra-bearer, you press straight on, you who are the mightiest of heroes.

यो मँहिष्ठो मघोनाम्ँशुर्न्न शोचिः चिकित्वो अभि नो नयेन्द्रो विदे तमु स्तुहि

जो दानियों में सबसे उदार है, सोम-अंशु के समान दीप्तिमान है—हे ज्ञानी, हमें आगे ले चलो। इन्द्र पाने योग्य है; उसी की स्तुति करो।

He who is the most generous of the generous, bright like the soma stalk: lead us onward, knowing one. Indra is there to be found; praise him.

ईशे हि शक्रस्तमूतये हवामहे जेतारमपराजितम् स नः स्वर्षदति द्विषः क्रतुश्छन्द ऋतं बृहत्

शक्र ही स्वामी है; हम उस विजयी, अपराजित को सहायता के लिए बुलाते हैं। स्वर् (प्रकाश) को जीतने वाला वह हमें शत्रुओं के पार ले जाए। क्रतु, छन्द, ऋत, बृहत्।

Shakra rules. We call on him for help, the conqueror who is never conquered. May he, the winner of the sun, carry us past our enemies. Resolve, metre, truth, the great.

इन्द्रं धनस्य सातये हवामहे जेतारमपराजितम् स नः स्वर्षदति द्विषः स नः स्वर्षदति द्विषः

धन पाने के लिए हम उस विजयी, अपराजित इन्द्र को बुलाते हैं। स्वर् को जीतने वाला वह हमें शत्रुओं के पार ले जाए; वह हमें शत्रुओं के पार ले जाए।

We call on Indra to win wealth, the conqueror who is never conquered. May he, the winner of the sun, carry us past our enemies; may he carry us past our enemies.

पूर्वस्य यत्ते अद्रिवोँऽशुर्मदाय सुम्न आ धेहि नो वसो पूर्तिः शविष्ठ शस्यते वशी हि शक्रो नूनं तन्नव्यँ संन्यसे

हे अद्रिवः (पत्थर/वज्र-धारी), तुम्हारा जो पुराना सोम-अंशु मद के लिए है—हे वसु, हमें अपनी कृपा में स्थापित करो। हे सबसे बलवान, तुम्हारी पूर्णता (दान) की प्रशंसा होती है; शक्र सचमुच वश में रखने वाला है—अब वह नई (स्तुति) प्रस्तुत है।

Your ancient soma stalk, wielder of the stone, which is there for exhilaration: place us in your favour, good one. Your bounty is praised, mightiest; Shakra is indeed in control, and now this new hymn is laid before him.

प्रभो जनस्य वृत्रहन्त्समर्येषु ब्रवावहै शूरो यो गोषु गच्छति सखा सुशेवो अद्वयुः

हे जनों के प्रभु, हे वृत्रहन्, सभाओं (या युद्धों) में हम दोनों आपस में बात करें—वह वीर जो गायों के लिए जाता है, जो मित्र, सुखद और निष्कपट है।

Lord of the people, slayer of Vritra, let us two speak together in the gatherings: the hero who goes after the cows, a kindly friend without deceit.

एवाह्योऽ३ऽ३ऽ३वा ।एवा ह्यग्ने ।एवाहीन्द्र एवा हि पूषन् ।एवा हि देवाः ॐ एवाहि देवाः

ऐसा ही हो। हे अग्नि, ऐसा ही हो। हे इन्द्र, ऐसा ही हो। हे पूषन्, ऐसा ही हो। हे देवो, ऐसा ही हो।

So it is indeed. So indeed, Agni. So indeed, Indra; so indeed, Pushan. So indeed, you gods.
