ए॒ते सोमा॑ अ॒भि प्रि॒यमिन्द्र॑स्य॒ काम॑मक्षरन् ।वर्ध॑न्तो अस्य वी॒र्य॑म्

ये सोम इन्द्र की प्रिय कामना की ओर बह चले हैं, उसके बल को बढ़ाते हुए।

These soma juices have flowed toward what Indra loves and desires, increasing his heroic strength.

पु॒ना॒नास॑श्चमू॒षदो॒ गच्छ॑न्तो वा॒युम॒श्विना॑ ।ते नो॑ धान्तु सु॒वीर्य॑म्

छनकर शुद्ध होते हुए, चमू-पात्रों में बैठे हुए, वायु और अश्विनों के पास जाते हुए — वे सोम हमें उत्तम वीरता दें।

While they are purified and settle in the cups, they go to Vayu and the Ashvins. May they give us strength and good heroes.

इन्द्र॑स्य सोम॒ राध॑से पुना॒नो हार्दि॑ चोदय ।ऋ॒तस्य॒ योनि॑मा॒सद॑म्

हे सोम, इन्द्र के दान के लिए शुद्ध होते हुए उसके हृदय को प्रेरित करो, और ऋत के स्थान पर जा बैठो।

Soma, as you are purified, stir Indra's heart to generosity, so that you can sit in the seat of ṛta, the true order.

मृ॒जन्ति॑ त्वा॒ दश॒ क्षिपो॑ हि॒न्वन्ति॑ स॒प्त धी॒तयः॑ ।अनु॒ विप्रा॑ अमादिषुः

दस अंगुलियाँ तुझे माँजती हैं, सात स्तुतियाँ तुझे आगे बढ़ाती हैं; मेधावी स्तोता तेरे पीछे-पीछे हर्षित हुए हैं।

Ten fingers groom you, and seven thoughts drive you on. The inspired poets have cheered you along.

दे॒वेभ्य॑स्त्वा॒ मदा॑य॒ कं सृ॑जा॒नमति॑ मे॒ष्यः॑ ।सं गोभि॑र्वासयामसि

देवों के लिए, उनके आनन्द के लिए, भेड़ के ऊन की छलनी के पार छोड़े जाते हुए तुझको हम गोदुग्ध से ढँक देते हैं।

For the gods and their delight, we dress you in cows as you are poured through the sheep's wool.

पु॒ना॒नः क॒लशे॒ष्वा वस्त्रा॑ण्यरु॒षो हरिः॑ ।परि॒ गव्या॑न्यव्यत

कलशों में शुद्ध होता हुआ वह अरुण-वर्ण, हरित सोम गोदुग्ध के वस्त्र चारों ओर से ओढ़ लेता है।

Being purified into the vats, the ruddy, tawny one has wrapped himself in garments, garments made of cows.

म॒घोन॒ आ प॑वस्व नो ज॒हि विश्वा॒ अप॒ द्विषः॑ ।इन्दो॒ सखा॑य॒मा वि॑श

हमारे लिए उदार धनी संरक्षक बहाते हुए छनो, सब द्वेष करने वालों को दूर मार भगाओ; हे इन्दु, अपने सखा (इन्द्र) में प्रवेश करो।

Flow clear for our generous patrons, and strike away everyone who hates us. Indu, enter your friend.

वृ॒ष्टिं दि॒वः परि॑ स्रव द्यु॒म्नं पृ॑थि॒व्या अधि॑ ।सहो॑ नः सोम पृ॒त्सु धाः॑

आकाश से वर्षा बहा दो और पृथ्वी पर तेज-ऐश्वर्य; हे सोम, युद्धों में हमें बल दो।

Make rain stream from heaven and bring splendour over the earth. Soma, give us strength in battles.

नृ॒चक्ष॑सं त्वा व॒यमिन्द्र॑पीतं स्व॒र्विद॑म् ।भ॒क्षी॒महि॑ प्र॒जामिष॑म्

मनुष्यों को देखने वाले, इन्द्र के पिए हुए, स्वर्ग-प्रकाश को पाने वाले तुझको हम सेवन करें, और सन्तान तथा अन्न पाएँ।

You who watch over people, drunk by Indra, finder of the sun: may we have our share of you, and of offspring and nourishment.
