पवमान: सोम:

प्रास्य॒ धारा॑ अक्षर॒न्वृष्णः॑ सु॒तस्यौज॑सा ।दे॒वाँ अनु॑ प्र॒भूष॑तः

बल के साथ इस निचोड़े हुए वृषभ-रूप सोम की धाराएँ आगे बह चलीं — देवों की सेवा में उपस्थित होते हुए।

The streams of this bull, the pressed soma, have flowed forth with power as he attends on the gods.

सप्तिं॑ मृजन्ति वे॒धसो॑ गृ॒णन्तः॑ का॒रवो॑ गि॒रा ।ज्योति॑र्जज्ञा॒नमु॒क्थ्य॑म्

विधाता-स्तोता, गायक वाणी से स्तुति करते हुए इस वेगवान अश्व-रूप सोम को माँजते हैं — उस उत्पन्न हुई, उक्थों के योग्य ज्योति को।

The ritual experts groom the steed. The poets, praising him with song, groom the light that is being born, worthy of hymns.

सु॒षहा॑ सोम॒ तानि॑ ते पुना॒नाय॑ प्रभूवसो ।वर्धा॑ समु॒द्रमु॒क्थ्य॑म्

हे प्रचुर धन वाले सोम, शुद्ध किए जाते हुए तेरे लिए वे सब वस्तुएँ सहज ही जीतने योग्य हैं; तू उक्थों के योग्य समुद्र को बढ़ा।

These things are easy for you to master, Soma, as you are purified, you who command great wealth. Make the sea that is worthy of hymns grow.

विश्वा॒ वसू॑नि सं॒जय॒न्पव॑स्व सोम॒ धार॑या ।इ॒नु द्वेषां॑सि स॒ध्र्य॑क्

हे सोम, सब धनों को जीतते हुए अपनी धारा से बहता जा; सारी शत्रुताओं को एक ही ओर हाँक कर दूर कर दे।

Winning all good things, Soma, purify yourself in a stream. Drive away all hostilities at once.

रक्षा॒ सु नो॒ अर॑रुषः स्व॒नात्स॑मस्य॒ कस्य॑ चित् ।नि॒दो यत्र॑ मुमु॒च्महे॑

हमें उस कंजूस-अदानी से, और किसी भी शत्रु की गर्जना से भली भाँति बचा, जिससे हम निन्दा से छूट जाएँ।

Guard us well from the ungenerous man and from the clamor of anyone whatever, so that we may be freed from reproach.

एन्दो॒ पार्थि॑वं र॒यिं दि॒व्यं प॑वस्व॒ धार॑या ।द्यु॒मन्तं॒ शुष्म॒मा भ॑र

हे इन्दु, धारा-रूप में बहते हुए पार्थिव और दिव्य धन हमें दे; तेजस्वी बल ले आ।

O drop, purify yourself in a stream and bring us earthly wealth and heavenly wealth. Bring us brilliant strength.
