विश्वे देवा:

प्र वो॑ य॒ज्ञेषु॑ देव॒यन्तो॑ अर्च॒न्द्यावा॒ नमो॑भिः पृथि॒वी इ॒षध्यै॑ ।येषां॒ ब्रह्मा॒ण्यस॑मानि॒ विप्रा॒ विष्व॑ग्वि॒यन्ति॑ व॒निनो॒ न शाखाः॑

देवों की कामना करने वाले लोग यज्ञों में तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हैं, और नमस्कारों के साथ द्यावा-पृथिवी की आराधना करते हैं, (देवों को) बुलाने के लिए। जिनके स्तोत्र एक-से नहीं, भाँति-भाँति के हैं — वे मेधावी स्तोता वृक्ष की शाखाओं की तरह चारों ओर फैल जाते हैं।

At the sacrifices, seeking the gods, they will sing out with reverent bows to you, Heaven and Earth, to spur you on. These are the inspired poets whose matchless formulations spread out in every direction, like the branches of a tree.

प्र य॒ज्ञ ए॑तु॒ हेत्वो॒ न सप्ति॒रुद्य॑च्छध्वं॒ सम॑नसो घृ॒ताचीः॑ ।स्तृ॒णी॒त ब॒र्हिर॑ध्व॒राय॑ सा॒धूर्ध्वा शो॒चींषि॑ देव॒यून्य॑स्थुः

यज्ञ आगे बढ़े, जैसे हाँका हुआ घोड़ा दौड़ता है; हे ऋत्विजो, एक मन होकर घृत से भरी चम्मचें ऊपर उठाओ। यज्ञ के लिए बर्हि (कुश) ठीक से बिछाओ — देवों की ओर जाने वाली ज्वालाएँ ऊपर उठ चुकी हैं।

Let the sacrifice go forward like a horse urged on by its drivers. Raise up the ghee-filled ladles with one mind. Spread the ritual grass (barhis) properly for the ceremony: the flames that seek the gods have risen upright.

आ पु॒त्रासो॒ न मा॒तरं॒ विभृ॑त्राः॒ सानौ॑ दे॒वासो॑ ब॒र्हिषः॑ सदन्तु ।आ वि॒श्वाची॑ विद॒थ्या॑मन॒क्त्वग्ने॒ मा नो॑ दे॒वता॑ता॒ मृध॑स्कः

जैसे गोद में उठाए हुए पुत्र माता के पास आते हैं, वैसे ही देव बर्हि की ऊँची सतह पर आकर बैठें। हे अग्नि, सब ओर फैलने वाली (घृत-धारा) यज्ञ-योग्य वेदी को सींच दे; देवयज्ञ में हमारी अवहेलना न कर।

Like sons climbing onto their mother, carried along, let the gods sit on the top of the ritual grass. Let the ladle that reaches everywhere anoint the ritual offering. Agni, do not let anything hostile come to us at the gathering of the gods.

ते सी॑षपन्त॒ जोष॒मा यज॑त्रा ऋ॒तस्य॒ धाराः॑ सु॒दुघा॒ दुहा॑नाः ।ज्येष्ठं॑ वो अ॒द्य मह॒ आ वसू॑ना॒मा ग॑न्तन॒ सम॑नसो॒ यति॒ ष्ठ

वे पूजनीय देव इच्छानुसार (हविष्) का सेवन करें, और ऋत की सहज दुहने योग्य धाराओं को दुहें। आज तुम्हारी महिमा धनों में सबसे बड़ी है — तुम जितने हो, सब एक मन होकर यहाँ आओ।

Let the gods who deserve worship enjoy the offering to their satisfaction, milking the good-yielding streams of truth (ṛta). Today the greatest of goods belongs to you: come here with one mind, all of you, however many you are.

ए॒वा नो॑ अग्ने वि॒क्ष्वा द॑शस्य॒ त्वया॑ व॒यं स॑हसाव॒न्नास्क्राः॑ ।रा॒या यु॒जा स॑ध॒मादो॒ अरि॑ष्टा यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभिः॒ सदा॑ नः

हे अग्नि, इसी प्रकार हमें प्रजाओं के बीच (धन) प्रदान कर; हे बलशाली, हम तुम्हारे साथ अटूट रूप से जुड़े रहें। धन के साथी बनकर, एक ही आनन्द में सहभागी और अक्षत बने रहें — हे देवो, तुम सब कल्याण-साधनों से सदा हमारी रक्षा करो।

So, Agni, grant us your favour among the clans. Mighty one, may we stay joined to you, sharing in wealth, feasting together, and unharmed. You gods, protect us always with your blessings.
