जङ्गिड मणि से रक्षाProtection by the jangida amulet

इन्द्रस्य नाम गृह्णन्त ŕ̥सयो जङ्गिदं ददुः ।देवा यं चक्रुर् भेषजम् अग्रे विष्कन्धदूषणम्

इन्द्र का नाम लेते हुए ऋषियों ने जङ्गिड दिया, जिसे देवताओं ने आरम्भ में विष्कन्ध को नष्ट करने वाली औषधि बनाया था।

Speaking the name of Indra, the rishis gave the jangida, which the gods first made as a remedy that destroys vishkandha.

स नो रक्षतु जङ्गिडो धनपालो धनेव ।देवा यं चक्रुर् ब्राह्मणाः परिपाणम् अरातिहम्

वह जङ्गिड हमारी रक्षा करे, जैसे कोषपाल धन की रक्षा करता है; जिसे देवताओं और ब्राह्मणों ने शत्रुता (अराति) को नष्ट करने वाला रक्षा-कवच बनाया।

May that jangida protect us, as a treasurer guards treasures; the gods and the brahmins made it a shield that strikes down hostility (arati).

दुर्हार्दः संघोरं चक्षुः पापक्ŕ̥त्वानम् आगमम् ।तांस् त्वं सहस्रचक्षो प्रतीबोधेन नाशय परिपाणो ऽसि जङ्गिडः

दुष्ट हृदय वाले की अत्यन्त भयानक दृष्टि और आ पहुँचे पाप करने वाले को — हे हज़ार आँखों वाले, उन्हें तू अपनी जागरूकता से नष्ट कर; तू रक्षा-कवच है, जङ्गिड।

The terrible eye of the ill-hearted, the evildoer who has come — destroy them by your watchfulness, thousand-eyed one; you are a shield, jangida.

परि मा दिवः परि मा पृथिव्याः पर्य् अन्तरिक्षात् परि मा वीरुद्भ्यः ।परि मा भूतात् परि मोत भव्याद् दिशोदिशो जङ्गिडः पात्व् अस्मान्

द्युलोक से, पृथिवी से, अन्तरिक्ष से और वनस्पतियों से मेरी रक्षा हो; जो हो चुका और जो होगा, उससे भी मेरी रक्षा हो; हर दिशा से जङ्गिड हमारी रक्षा करे।

Protect me from the sky, protect me from the earth and from the midspace, protect me from the plants; protect me from what has been and from what is to be; from every direction may the jangida guard us.

य ऋष्णवो देवकृता य उतो ववृते ऽन्यः ।सर्वां स्तान् विश्वभेषजो ऽरसां जङ्गिडस् करत्

जो ऋष्णु देवताओं द्वारा बनाए गए हैं, और जो कोई दूसरा भी आ पहुँचा है — उन सबको सब रोगों की औषधि जङ्गिड निष्प्रभावी कर दे।

The rishnus that the gods have made, and whatever other has come forth: may the all-healing jangida make them all powerless.
