अभय के लिए प्रार्थनाPrayer for fearlessness

यत इन्द्र भयामहे ततो नो अभयं कृधि ।मघवं छग्धि तव त्वं न ऊतिभिर् वि द्विषो वि म्ŕ̥धो जहि

हे इन्द्र, जहाँ से हमें भय लगता है, वहाँ से हमें अभय दो। हे मघवन्, अपनी रक्षाओं से हमारी सहायता करो; द्वेष करने वालों और शत्रुओं को मार भगाओ।

Indra, wherever we are afraid of, make us free of fear from there. Maghavan, help us with your protections; strike away those who hate us and those who attack us.

इन्द्रं वयम् अनूराधं हवामहे ऽनु राध्यास्म द्विपदा चतुष्पदा ।मा नः सेना अररुषीर् उप गुर् विषूचिर् इन्द्र द्रुहो वि नाशय

हम अनुकूल फल देने वाले इन्द्र को पुकारते हैं; हम दो पैर वालों और चार पैर वालों (मनुष्यों और पशुओं) के साथ समृद्ध हों। शत्रुओं की सेनाएँ हमारे पास न आएँ; हे इन्द्र, द्रोहियों को चारों ओर बिखेरकर नष्ट कर दो।

We call on Indra, who brings success; may we prosper with our two-footed and four-footed ones. Let no hostile armies come near us; Indra, scatter the treacherous in every direction and destroy them.

इन्द्रस् त्रातोत वृत्रहा परस्फानो वरेण्यः ।स रक्षिता चरमतः स मध्यतः स पश्चात् स पुरस्तान् नो अस्तु

इन्द्र रक्षक है और वृत्र का वध करने वाला, दूर तक रक्षा करने वाला और वरण करने योग्य है। वह सबसे पीछे से, बीच से, पीछे से और आगे से हमारी रक्षा करने वाला हो।

Indra is our protector and the slayer of Vritra, the one who protects from afar and the one worth choosing. May he guard us at the rear, in the middle, from behind and in front.

उरुं नो लोकम् अनु नेषि विद्वान्त् स्व᳙र् यज् ज्योतिर् अभयं स्वस्ति ।उग्रा त इन्द्र स्थविरस्य बाहू उप क्षयेम शरणा बृहन्ता

हे इन्द्र, तुम जानते हुए हमें विस्तृत लोक की ओर ले जाते हो, जहाँ स्वर् है, ज्योति है, अभय और कल्याण है। तुम्हारी, हे शक्तिशाली, प्रबल भुजाओं के नीचे, उन विशाल शरणों में, हम निवास करें।

Indra, you know the way and lead us to a wide world, where there is the light of heaven, freedom from fear and well-being. May we live close under your strong arms, mighty one, those great shelters.

अभयं नः करत्य् अन्तरिक्षम् अभयं द्यावापृथिवी उभे इमे ।अभयं पश्चाद् अभयं पुरस्ताद् उत्तराद् अधराद् अभयं नो अस्तु

अन्तरिक्ष हमें अभय दे, ये दोनों द्यावा-पृथिवी अभय दें। पीछे से अभय, आगे से अभय, ऊपर से और नीचे से हमें अभय हो।

May the midspace make us free of fear, and both these, heaven and earth. Freedom from fear behind us, freedom from fear in front, from above and from below, may we be free of fear.

अभयं मित्राद् अभयम् अमित्राद् अभयं ज्ञाताद् अभयं पुरो यः ।अभयं नक्तम् अभयं दिवा नः सर्वा आशा मम मित्रं भवन्तु

मित्र से अभय, अमित्र से अभय, जाने हुए से अभय, और जो सामने है उससे अभय हो। रात में हमें अभय हो, दिन में अभय हो; सभी दिशाएँ मेरी मित्र हों।

Freedom from fear from friend and from enemy, from the known and from what lies before us. May we be free of fear by night and by day; may all the quarters be my friends.
