पृथिव्याम् अग्नये सम् अनमन्त् स आर्ध्नोत् ।यथा पृथिव्याम् अग्नये समनमन्न् एवा मह्यं संनमः सं नमन्तु

पृथ्वी पर वे अग्नि के आगे झुके, और वह समृद्ध हुआ। जैसे पृथ्वी पर वे अग्नि के आगे झुके, वैसे ही अनुकूलताएँ मेरी ओर झुकें।

On earth they bowed to Agni, and he prospered. As on earth they bowed to Agni, so let all favours bow to me.

पृथिवी धेनुस् तस्या अग्निर् वत्सः ।सा मे ऽग्निना वत्सेनेषम् ऊर्जं कामं दुहाम् ।आयुः प्रथमं प्रजां पोषं रयिं स्वाहा

पृथ्वी गाय है, अग्नि उसका बछड़ा। वह अग्नि-रूपी बछड़े के द्वारा मेरे लिए अन्न, बल और इच्छित वस्तु दुहे — सबसे पहले आयु, फिर संतान, पुष्टि और धन। स्वाहा।

Earth is a cow, and Agni is her calf. Through Agni her calf may she yield me food, strength and what I desire — long life first, then offspring, prosperity and wealth. Svaha.

अन्तरिक्षे वायवे सम् अनमन्त् स आर्ध्नोत् ।यथान्तरिक्षे वायवे समनमन्न् एवा मह्यं संनमः सं नमन्तु

अन्तरिक्ष में वे वायु के आगे झुके, और वह समृद्ध हुआ। जैसे अन्तरिक्ष में वे वायु के आगे झुके, वैसे ही अनुकूलताएँ मेरी ओर झुकें।

In the mid-air they bowed to Vayu, and he prospered. As in the mid-air they bowed to Vayu, so let all favours bow to me.

In the quarters of space they bowed to the Moon, and he prospered. As in the quarters they bowed to the Moon, so let all favours bow to me.

अग्नाव् अग्निश् चरति प्रविष्ट ŕ̥षीणाम् पुत्रो अभिशस्तिपा उ ।नमस्कारेण नमसा ते जुहोमि मा देवानां मिथुया कर्म भागम्

ऋषियों का पुत्र, निन्दा-शाप से रक्षा करने वाला अग्नि, अग्नि में प्रविष्ट होकर विचरता है। (हे अग्नि,) नमस्कार और नमन के साथ मैं तुम्हें आहुति देता हूँ; हम देवताओं का भाग गलत ढंग से न करें।

Agni, son of the seers, protector against curses, moves about having entered into Agni. (O Agni,) with homage and reverence I make offering to you; let us not handle the gods' share wrongly.

हृदा पूतम् मनसा जातवेदो विश्वानि देव वयुनानि विद्वान् ।सप्तास्या᳙नि तव जातवेदस् तेभ्यो जुहोमि स जुषस्व हव्यम्

हे जातवेदस्, हे देव, सब विधियों को जानने वाले! हृदय और मन से पवित्र की हुई (आहुति) को — तुम्हारे सात मुख हैं, उन्हीं में मैं आहुति देता हूँ; तुम यह हव्य स्वीकार करो।

O Jatavedas, god who knows all the ways — seven are your mouths, Jatavedas; into them I offer what is purified by heart and mind. Accept the oblation.
