इन्द्र की स्तुतिPraise of Indra alone

मा चिद् अन्यद् वि शंसत सखायो मा रिषण्यत ।इन्द्रम् इत् स्तोता व्ŕ̥षणं सचा सुते मुहुर् उक्था च शंसत

मित्रो, किसी और की स्तुति मत करो, ताकि तुम्हें हानि न हो। सोम निचोड़े जाने पर मिलकर केवल वृषभ इन्द्र की स्तुति करो, और बार-बार उक्थ (स्तोत्र) बोलो।

Friends, praise no one else, so that you come to no harm. When the soma is pressed, praise only Indra, the bull, all together, and recite hymns again and again.

अवक्रक्षिणं वृषभं यथाजुरम् गां न चर्षणीसहम् ।विद्वेषणं संवननोभयंकरं मंहिष्ठम् उभयाविनम्

(उस इन्द्र की स्तुति करो) जो साँड की तरह झपटता है, जो अजर है, जो बैल की तरह लोगों को दबा लेता है; जो वैर भी कराता है और मेल भी, दोनों करने वाला, सबसे उदार दाता, दोनों प्रकार के धन वाला है।

(Praise him) who charges down like a bull, who does not age, who like a bull overpowers the peoples; who brings both enmity and concord, the most generous giver, the one who holds both kinds of wealth.

यच् चिद् धि त्वा जना इमे नाना हवन्त ऊतये ।अस्माकं ब्रह्मेदम् इन्द्र भूतु ते ऽहा विश्वा च वर्धनम्

हे इन्द्र, भले ही ये लोग अलग-अलग अपनी रक्षा के लिए तुम्हें पुकारते हैं, फिर भी हमारी यह स्तुति (ब्रह्म) सब दिनों तुम्हें बढ़ाने वाली हो।

Indra, even though these people call on you in their different ways for help, let this sacred formulation of ours be what strengthens you, every day.

वि तर्तूर्यन्ते मघवन् विपश्चितो ऽर्यो विपो जनानाम् ।उप क्रमस्व पुरुरूपम् आ भर वाजं नेदिष्ठम् ऊतये

हे मघवन्, प्रतिद्वन्द्वी (अरि) के ज्ञानी कवि और लोगों के गायक एक-दूसरे से आगे निकलने की होड़ करते हैं। तुम पास आओ, और रक्षा के लिए अनेक रूपों वाला बल-धन (वाज) हमारे सबसे निकट ले आओ।
