इन्द्र द्वारा वल का भेदनIndra splits Vala

व्य् अ᳙न्तरिक्षम् अतिरन् मदे सोमस्य रोचना ।इन्द्रो यद् अभिनद् वलम्

जब इन्द्र ने वल को तोड़ा, तब सोम के मद में प्रकाशमान लोकों ने अन्तरिक्ष को फैला दिया।

In the exhilaration of soma the shining realms stretched out the midspace, when Indra split Vala.

उद् गा आजद् अङ्गिरोभ्य आविष् क्र्ण्वन् गुहा सतीः ।अर्वाञ्चं नुनुदे वलम्

छिपी हुई गायों को प्रकट करते हुए उसने अङ्गिरसों के लिए उन्हें बाहर निकाला, और वल को नीचे धकेल दिया।

He drove the cows out for the Angirases, bringing to light those that were hidden, and he thrust Vala down.

इन्द्रेण रोचना दिवो दृल्हानि दृंहितानि च ।स्थिराणि न पराणुदे

इन्द्र ने द्युलोक के प्रकाशमान लोकों को दृढ़ किया और कसकर बाँध दिया; वे इतने स्थिर हैं कि उन्हें हटाया नहीं जा सकता।

Through Indra the shining realms of heaven were made firm and fastened, fixed so that they cannot be pushed away.

अपाम् ऊर्मिर् मदन्न् इव स्तोम इन्द्राजिरायते ।वि ते मदा अराजिषुः

हे इन्द्र, उमड़ती जल-लहर की तरह यह स्तोत्र तेज़ी से तुम्हारी ओर बढ़ रहा है; तुम्हारे मद चारों ओर चमक उठे हैं।

Like an exulting wave of the waters, Indra, the praise-song rushes on; your exhilarations have shone out far and wide.
