बृहस्पति:

यो अ॑द्रि॒भित्प्र॑थम॒जा ऋ॒तावा॒ बृह॒स्पति॑राङ्गिर॒सो ह॒विष्मा॑न् ।द्वि॒बर्ह॑ज्मा प्राघर्म॒सत्पि॒ता न॒ आ रोद॑सी वृष॒भो रो॑रवीति

जो चट्टानों को तोड़नेवाला, सबसे पहले उत्पन्न, ऋत का पालक, हविवाला आङ्गिरस बृहस्पति है — दोहरे बल से चलनेवाला, घर्म (तप्त हवि) के सामने बैठनेवाला, वह हमारा पिता वृषभ की तरह आकाश और पृथ्वी की ओर गरजता है।

Brihaspati, who splits the rock, the first-born, true to the cosmic order (rita), the Angirasa who brings the offering, he of the double-strong course (?), who sits at the hot gharma drink, our father, the bull, roars out to both worlds, heaven and earth.

जना॑य चि॒द्य ईव॑त उ लो॒कं बृह॒स्पति॑र्दे॒वहू॑तौ च॒कार॑ ।घ्नन्वृ॒त्राणि॒ वि पुरो॑ दर्दरीति॒ जय॒ञ्छत्रूँ॑र॒मित्रा॑न्पृ॒त्सु साह॑न्

बृहस्पति ने देवों के आह्वान के समय आगे बढ़नेवाले (यज्ञ में प्रयत्नशील) मनुष्य के लिए भी स्थान बना दिया। वृत्रों (बाधक शत्रुओं) को मारते हुए वह शत्रुओं के किलों को तोड़ डालता है, युद्धों में विरोधियों को जीतता और अमित्रों को दबा देता है।

Brihaspati, who at the invocation of the gods made wide space even for the man who comes to him, smashes the obstacles and breaks open the strongholds, conquering rivals and overpowering enemies in battle.

बृह॒स्पतिः॒ सम॑जय॒द्वसू॑नि म॒हो व्र॒जान्गोम॑तो दे॒व ए॒षः ।अ॒पः सिषा॑स॒न्स्व१॒॑रप्र॑तीतो॒ बृह॒स्पति॒र्हन्त्य॒मित्र॑म॒र्कैः

इस देव बृहस्पति ने धन जीत लिए और गायों से भरे बड़े-बड़े बाड़े भी। जल और सूर्य को पाने की इच्छा करता हुआ, जिसका कोई सामना नहीं कर सकता, वह बृहस्पति अपने स्तोत्रों से शत्रु को मार डालता है।
