पूर्णिमा की स्तुतिPraise of the full-moon night

पौर्णमासी जिगाय ।तस्यां देवैः संवसन्तो महित्वा नाकस्य पृष्ठे सम् इषा मदेम

पौर्णमासी विजयी हुई है। उसमें महिमा से देवों के साथ रहते हुए हम नाक (स्वर्ग-लोक) की पीठ पर अन्न-रस के साथ आनन्द मनाएँ।

Paurnamasi, the full-moon night, has won the victory. Living with the gods in greatness, may we feast together on refreshment on the top of the vault of heaven.

वृषभं वाजिनं वयं पौर्णमासं यजामहे ।स नो ददात्व् अक्षितां रयिम् अनुपदस्वतीम्

हम बलवान वृषभ, पौर्णमास की पूजा करते हैं। वह हमें ऐसा धन दे जो न घटे और न समाप्त हो।

We worship the full-moon, the strong and vigorous bull. May he give us wealth that does not waste away or run out.

प्रजापते न त्वद् एतान्य् अन्यो विश्वा रूपाणि परिभूर् जजान ।यत्कामास् ते जुहुमस् तन् नो अस्तु वयं स्याम पतयो रयीणाम्

हे प्रजापति, तुम्हारे सिवा किसी और ने सबको घेरकर ये सारे रूप उत्पन्न नहीं किए। जिस कामना से हम तुम्हें आहुति देते हैं, वह हमें मिले; हम धन के स्वामी बनें।

Prajapati, no one but you, who encompasses all, brought all these forms into being. Whatever we desire when we make offerings to you, may it be ours; may we be lords of riches.

पौर्णमासी प्रथमा यज्ञियासीद् अह्नां रात्रीणाम् अतिशर्वरेषु ।ये त्वाम् यज्ञैर् यज्ञिये अर्धयन्त्य् अमी ते नाके सुक्ŕ̥तः प्रविष्टाः

दिनों और रातों में, गहरी रात्रियों के बीच, पौर्णमासी सबसे पहले यज्ञ के योग्य थी। हे यज्ञ के योग्य, जो लोग यज्ञों से तुम्हें बढ़ाते हैं, तुम्हारे वे पुण्यात्मा नाक (स्वर्ग-लोक) में प्रवेश कर गए हैं।

Among the days and nights, in the depths of the nights, the full-moon night was the first worthy of sacrifice. Worthy one, those who make you prosper with sacrifices, those doers of good deeds of yours, have entered the vault of heaven.
