विनाशक देवों से रक्षाProtection from the destroying gods

यमो मृत्युर् अघमारो निरृथो बभ्रुः शर्वो ऽस्ता नीलशिखण्डः ।देवजनाः सेनयोत्तस्थिवांसस् ते अस्माकं परि वृञ्जन्तु वीरान्

यम, मृत्यु, घोर मारक, निरृथ, बभ्रु (भूरा), धनुर्धर शर्व और नीलशिखण्ड — सेना लेकर उठ खड़े हुए ये देवजन हमारे वीरों को छोड़कर निकल जाएँ।

Yama, Mrityu, the evil slayer, Nirritha, the brown one, Sharva the archer, the blue-crested one — may these divine folk, risen up with their army, pass by our heroes and spare them.

मनसा होमैर् हरसा घृतेन शर्वायास्त्र उत राज्ञे भवाय ।नमस्ये᳙भ्यो नम एभ्यः कृणोम्य् अन्यत्रास्मद् अघविषा नयन्तु

मन से, आहुतियों से, तेज से, घी से — धनुर्धर शर्व और राजा भव के लिए; जो नमस्कार के योग्य हैं, उन्हें मैं नमस्कार करता हूँ; वे घोर विष वालों को हमसे दूर कहीं और ले जाएँ।

With mind, with offerings, with fervour, with ghee — to Sharva the archer and to King Bhava. I pay homage to these who deserve homage; may they lead the evil-poisoned ones away from us, somewhere else.

त्रायध्वं नो अघविषाभ्यो वधाद् विश्वे देवा मरुतो विश्ववेदसः ।अग्नीषोमा वरुणः पूतदक्षा वातापर्जन्ययोः सुमतौ स्याम

हे विश्वेदेवो, हे सर्वज्ञ मरुतो, घोर विष वालों से और घातक प्रहार से हमारी रक्षा करो; अग्नि-सोम और पवित्र बल वाला वरुण भी; हम वात और पर्जन्य की कृपा में रहें।

Protect us from the evil-poisoned ones and from the deadly blow, you All-Gods and all-knowing Maruts, Agni and Soma, and Varuna of pure strength; may we stay in the favour of Vata and Parjanya.
