इन्द्र को सोम-अर्पणSoma offering to Indra

वयम् एनम् इदा ह्योपीपेमेह वज्रिणम् ।तस्मा उ अद्य समना सुतं भरा नूनं भूषत श्रुते

हमने कल यहाँ इस वज्रधारी को सोम पिलाया था। आज भी उसी के लिए सब मिलकर निचोड़ा हुआ सोम लाओ, और अब उसकी सेवा करो ताकि वह सुने।

Here, yesterday, we gave this mace-bearer soma to drink. Today too, all together, bring the pressed soma to him, and now attend on him so that he will hear.

व्ŕ̥कश् चिद् अस्य वारण उरामथिर् आ वयुनेषु भूषति ।सेमं नः स्तोमं जुजुषाण आ गहीन्द्र प्र चित्रया धिया

भेड़ों को उठा ले जाने वाला, रोका न जा सकने वाला भेड़िया भी उसके नियमों के अधीन चलता है। हे इन्द्र, हमारी इस स्तुति को स्वीकार करते हुए अपनी अद्भुत बुद्धि के साथ यहाँ आओ।

Even the wolf, the unchecked ravager of sheep, keeps to his ordinances. Indra, take pleasure in this praise of ours and come here with your brilliant thought.

कद् उ न्व् अ᳙स्याकृतम् इन्द्रस्यास्ति पौंस्यम् ।केनो नु कं श्रोमतेन न शुश्रुवे जनुषः परि वृत्रहा

इन्द्र का ऐसा कौन-सा पराक्रम है जो उसने न किया हो? जन्म से ही वृत्रहा किस यश के लिए प्रसिद्ध नहीं रहा?

What manly deed of Indra is there that he has left undone? For what fame has the Vritra-slayer not been renowned, ever since his birth?
