इन्द्र को सोम-पान का निमन्त्रणInviting Indra to drink soma

अप्सु धूतस्य हरिवः पिबेह न्ŕ̥भिः सुतस्य जठरं पृणस्व ।मिमिक्षुर् यम् अद्रय इन्द्र तुभ्यं तेभिर् वर्धस्व मदम् उक्थवाहः

हे हरि-अश्वों वाले, जल में धोए गए और मनुष्यों द्वारा निचोड़े गए सोम को यहाँ पियो, अपना उदर भर लो। हे इन्द्र, जिस सोम को पत्थरों ने तुम्हारे लिए तैयार किया है, उससे अपना मद बढ़ाओ, हे उक्थों (स्तुति-मन्त्रों) से वहन किए जाने वाले।

Lord of the bay horses, drink here the soma washed in the waters and pressed by men; fill your belly. Indra, with what the pressing-stones have blended for you, increase your exhilaration, you who are carried by hymns.

प्रोग्रां पीतिं व्ŕ̥ष्ण इयर्मि सत्यां प्रयै सुतस्य हर्यश्व तुभ्यम् ।इन्द्र धेनाभिर् इह मादयस्व धीभिर् विश्वाभिः शच्या गृणानः

हे हर्यश्व, मैं तुम वृषभ के लिए निचोड़े हुए सोम का प्रबल और सच्चा पान आगे बढ़ाता हूँ। हे इन्द्र, सब स्तुतियों से अपनी शक्ति के कारण प्रशंसित होते हुए, यहाँ धेनाओं (सोम में मिलाई गई दुग्ध-धाराओं) से आनन्दित होओ।

Bay-horsed one, I send forth to you, the bull, a strong and true drink of the pressed soma. Indra, praised with all our insights for your power, take your delight here with the dhenās (the milk-streams mixed into the soma).

ऊती शचीवस् तव वीर्ये᳙ण वयो दधाना उशिज ऋतज्ञाः ।प्रजावद् इन्द्र मंसो दुरोणे तस्थुर् गृणन्तः सधमाद्यासः

हे शक्तिमान् इन्द्र, तुम्हारी सहायता और तुम्हारे पराक्रम से बल पाकर, ऋत को जानने वाले उशिज् गण, सन्तान सहित, घर में तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हुए साथ बैठकर सोम-उत्सव मनाते रहे।

Mighty Indra, through your help and your heroic strength, the Uśijs, knowers of truth, gaining vigour together with offspring, have stood in the house singing praise, companions at the drinking-feast.
