इन्द्र को सोमपान का निमन्त्रणInviting Indra to drink soma

पिबा सोमम् इन्द्र मन्दतु त्वा यं ते सुषाव हर्यश्वाद्रिः ।सोतुर् बाहुभ्यां सुयतो नार्वा

हे इन्द्र, सोम पियो, वह तुम्हें आनन्दित करे। हे हरे घोड़ों वाले, यह सोम तुम्हारे लिए उस पत्थर ने निचोड़ा है, जिसे निचोड़ने वाले की भुजाएँ लगाम लगे घोड़े की तरह अच्छी तरह साधती हैं।

Drink the soma, Indra, and let it gladden you. Lord of the bay horses, the pressing-stone pressed it for you, guided well by the presser's arms like a reined horse.

यस् ते मदो युजस् चारुर् अस्ति येन वृत्राणि हर्यश्व हंसि ।स त्वाम् इन्द्र प्रभूवसो ममत्तु

हे हरे घोड़ों वाले, तुम्हारा जो उपयुक्त और प्रिय मद है, जिससे तुम वृत्रों (बाधाओं) का वध करते हो, हे प्रचुर धन वाले इन्द्र, वह तुम्हें मस्त करे।

Lord of the bay horses, the fitting and lovely exhilaration that is yours, with which you strike down the vritras (obstacles), may it exhilarate you, Indra, lord of abundant wealth.

बोधा सु मे मघवन् वाचम् एमां यां ते वसिष्ठो अर्चति प्रशस्तिम् ।इमा ब्रह्म सधमादे जुषस्व

हे मघवन्, मेरी इस वाणी पर भली-भाँति ध्यान दो, जिस स्तुति से वसिष्ठ तुम्हारी अर्चना करता है। साथ मिलकर होने वाले सोम-उत्सव में इन मन्त्रों को स्वीकार करो।
