इन्द्र की स्तुतिPraise of Indra

इमा उ त्वा पुरूवसो गिरो वर्धन्तु या मम ।पावकवर्णाः शुचयो विपश्चितो ऽभि स्तोमैर् अनूषत

हे बहुत धन वाले, मेरी ये वाणियाँ तुम्हें बढ़ाएँ। अग्नि जैसे वर्ण वाले, उज्ज्वल, ज्ञानी कवियों ने स्तोत्रों से तुम्हारी ओर स्तुति की है।

O you who have many goods, may these songs of mine make you grow strong. The bright, inspired poets, coloured like the purifying fire, have cried out to you with their praises.

अयं सहस्रम् ŕ̥षिभिः सहस्कृतः समुद्र इव पप्रथे ।सत्यः सो अस्य महिमा गृने शवो यज्ञेषु विप्रराज्ये

हज़ार ऋषियों द्वारा बलवान बनाया गया यह (इन्द्र) समुद्र की तरह फैल गया है। इसकी यह महिमा सच्ची है; यज्ञों में और विप्रों के राज्य में इसके बल की स्तुति होती है।

Made mighty by a thousand seers, he has spread out like the sea. True is this greatness of his; his strength is praised at the sacrifices, in the realm where the inspired poets hold sway.

आ नो विश्वासु हव्य इन्द्रः समत्सु भूषतु ।उप ब्रह्माणि सवनानि वृत्रहा परमज्या ŕ̥चीषमः

सभी युद्धों में पुकारे जाने योग्य इन्द्र हमारे पास आए। वृत्र को मारने वाला, सबसे श्रेष्ठ धनुष-डोरी वाला, ऋचा के अनुरूप (ऋचीषम) इन्द्र हमारी स्तुतियों और सोम-सवनों के पास आए।

May Indra, who is to be called on in every battle, come to us. May the Vritra-slayer, he of the supreme bowstring, the rcīṣama (matching the verse), come to our sacred formulations and our soma pressings.

त्वं दाता प्रथमो राघसाम् अस्य् असि सत्य ईशानक्ŕ̥त् ।तुविद्युम्नस्य युज्या वृणीमहे पुत्रस्य शवसो महः

तुम दानों के पहले दाता हो; तुम सच्चे हो, (लोगों को) स्वामी बनाने वाले हो। बल के महान पुत्र, अत्यन्त तेजस्वी तुम्हारी मित्रता हम चुनते हैं।

You are the foremost giver of gifts; you are true, the one who makes men masters. We choose the alliance of the very glorious one, the great son of strength.
