ब्रह्म ही यज्ञ हैBrahman as the sacrifice

ब्रह्म होता ब्रह्म यज्ञा ब्रह्मणा स्वरवो मिताः ।अध्वर्युर् ब्रह्मणो जातो ब्रह्मणो ऽन्तर्हितं हविः

ब्रह्म ही होता है, ब्रह्म ही यज्ञ हैं, ब्रह्म से ही यज्ञ-स्तम्भ के खूँटे गाड़े गए हैं। अध्वर्यु ब्रह्म से जन्मा है, और हवि ब्रह्म के भीतर रखी हुई है।

Brahman is the hotar, brahman the sacrifices; by brahman the stakes of the sacrificial post are set up. The adhvaryu is born from brahman; the oblation is placed within brahman.

ब्रह्म स्रुचो घृतवतीर् ब्रह्मणा वेदिर् उद्धिता ।ब्रह्म यज्ञस्य तत्त्वं च ऋत्विजो ये हविष्क्ŕ̥तः ।शमिताय स्वाहा

घी से भरी स्रुचें ब्रह्म हैं, ब्रह्म से वेदी ऊँची बनाई गई है। ब्रह्म ही यज्ञ का सार है, और वे ऋत्विज भी जो हवि तैयार करते हैं। शमिता को स्वाहा।

Brahman is the ghee-filled ladles; by brahman the altar is raised. Brahman is the essence of the sacrifice, and so are the priests who prepare the oblation. Svaha to the shamitar.

अंहोमुचे प्र भरे मनीषाम् आ सुत्राव्णे सुमतिम् आवृणानः ।इमम् इन्द्र प्रति हव्यं गृभाय सत्याः सन्तु यजमानस्य कामाः

संकट से छुड़ाने वाले के लिए मैं अपनी स्तुति अर्पित करता हूँ, उस उत्तम रक्षक की कृपा चाहते हुए। हे इन्द्र, यह हवि स्वीकार करो; यजमान की कामनाएँ पूरी हों।

To the one who frees from distress I offer my thought, seeking the goodwill of the good protector. Indra, accept this oblation; may the sacrificer's wishes come true.

अंहोमुचं व्र्षभं यज्ञियानां विराजन्तं प्रथमम् अध्वराणम् ।अपां नपातम् अश्विना हुवे धिय इन्द्रियेण त इन्द्रियं दत्तम् ओजः

संकट से छुड़ाने वाले, यज्ञ के योग्य देवताओं में वृषभ, दीप्तिमान, यज्ञों में प्रथम अपां नपात् को और अश्विनों को मैं स्तुतियों के साथ बुलाता हूँ। हे अश्विनो, इन्द्र की शक्ति के साथ उसे इन्द्र-शक्ति और ओज दो।

I call with my prayers on the one who frees from distress, the bull among those worthy of worship, shining, first of the rites: Apam Napat, and the Ashvins. Ashvins, with Indra's power, give him Indra's power and vigour.
