गुल्गुलु से रोग-निवारणGuggulu resin against disease

न तं यक्ष्मा अरुन्धते नैनं शपथो अश्नुते ।यं भेषजस्य गुल्गुलोः सुरभिर् गन्धो अश्नुते

जिस मनुष्य तक औषधि गुल्गुलु की सुगन्धित गन्ध पहुँचती है, उसे यक्ष्मा रोग नहीं रोकते और शाप उस तक नहीं पहुँचता।

The yakshma diseases do not hold back the man reached by the fragrant smell of the healing guggulu, and no curse reaches him.

विष्वञ्चस् तस्माद् यक्ष्मा मृगा अश्वा इवेरते ।यद् गुल्गुलु सैन्धवं यद् वाप्य् असि समुद्रियम्

उससे यक्ष्मा रोग सब दिशाओं में ऐसे भाग जाते हैं जैसे मृग या घोड़े। हे गुल्गुलु, चाहे तुम सिन्धु से आए हो या समुद्र से।

From him the yakshmas scatter in every direction like deer, like horses — whether you, guggulu, come from the Sindhu or from the sea.

उभयोर् अग्रभं नामास्मा अरिष्टतातये

मैंने दोनों (गुल्गुलुओं, सिन्धु वाले और समुद्र वाले) का नाम लिया है, इस मनुष्य के अनिष्ट से बचाव के लिए।

I have taken up the names of both (guggulus, from the Sindhu and from the sea), so that this man may come to no harm.
