वनस्पतियों के प्राण का रहस्यThe hidden source of plant life

इदं जनासो विदथ महद् ब्रह्म वदिष्यति ।न तत् पृथिव्यां नो दिवि येन प्राणन्ति वीरुधः

हे लोगो, इसे जानो: वह एक महान ब्रह्म (रहस्य-वचन) कहेगा। जिससे वनस्पतियाँ साँस लेती हैं, वह न पृथ्वी पर है, न द्युलोक में।

Know this, you people: he will speak a great brahman (sacred formula). That by which the plants breathe is neither on earth nor in heaven.

अन्तरिक्ष आसां स्थाम श्रान्तसदाम् इव ।आस्थानम् अस्य भूतस्य विदुष् टद् वेधसो न वा

इनका (वनस्पतियों का) ठिकाना अन्तरिक्ष में है, जैसे थककर बैठे हुओं का होता है। इस प्राणी (जगत्) का आधार ज्ञानी जानते हैं या नहीं जानते।

Their station is in the midair, like that of those who sit down weary. The wise either know the resting place of this being, or they do not.

यद् रोदसी रेजमाने भूमिश् च निरतक्षतम् ।आर्द्रं तद् अद्य सर्वदा समुद्रस्येव श्रोत्याः

काँपते हुए द्युलोक-पृथ्वी (रोदसी) और भूमि ने जो गढ़ा, वह आज भी सदा गीला रहता है, समुद्र की धाराओं की तरह।

What the trembling Rodasi (heaven and earth) and the earth fashioned stays moist now and always, like the streams of the ocean.

विश्वम् अन्याम् अभीवार तद् अन्यस्याम् अधि श्रितम् ।दिवे च विश्ववेदसे पृथिव्यै चाकरं नमः

एक ने सबको घेर रखा है, और वह दूसरी पर टिका है। सर्वसम्पन्न द्युलोक को और पृथ्वी को मैंने नमस्कार किया है।

One has enclosed everything, and that rests upon the other. To all-possessing heaven and to earth I have paid homage.
