सोम और रुद्र को नमस्कार; ताँबे के रंग वाले और अरुण (लाल) वर्ण वाले को, सुख लाने वाले (शङ्ग) और पशुपति को, उग्र और भयंकर को, पास से मारने वाले और दूर से मारने वाले को, मारने वाले और उससे भी अधिक मारने वाले को नमस्कार; हरे पत्तों जैसे केशों वाले वृक्षों को नमस्कार; पार उतारने वाले (तार) को नमस्कार; कल्याण के स्रोत (शम्भु) और सुख के स्रोत (मयोभु) को, कल्याण करने वाले (शङ्कर) और सुख करने वाले (मयस्कर) को, मंगलमय (शिव) और अधिक मंगलमय (शिवतर) को नमस्कार। घाटों पर और किनारों पर रहने वाले को, उस पार और इस पार वाले को, पार कराने वाले और (जल से) बाहर निकालने वाले को, आतार्य और आलाद्य को, नई घास में और फेन में रहने वाले को, रेत में और जल की धारा में रहने वाले को नमस्कार।

Homage to Soma and to Rudra; to the copper-coloured and the ruddy one, to the bringer of happiness (śaṅga) and the Lord of cattle (Paśupati), to the fierce and the terrible one, to the one who strikes close at hand and the one who strikes from afar, to the slayer and the greater slayer; homage to the trees with green hair; homage to the one who carries across (tāra); to the source of welfare (Śambhu) and the source of joy, to the maker of welfare (Śaṅkara) and the maker of joy, to the auspicious one (Śiva) and the more auspicious one. Homage to him who is at the fords and on the banks, on the far shore and the near shore, to him who carries over and him who brings out, to the ātārya and the ālādya, to him who is in the young grass and in the foam, in the sand and in the current.
