इन्द्र की स्तुतिPraise of Indra

महाꣳ इन्द्रो य ओजसा पर्जन्यो वृष्टिमाꣳ इव ।स्तोमैर् वत्सस्य वावृधे

महान है इन्द्र, जो अपने बल से वर्षा से भरे पर्जन्य के समान है। वह वत्स की स्तुतियों से बढ़ा है।

Great is Indra, who in his might is like Parjanya rich in rain. He has grown strong through the praises of Vatsa.

प्रजाम् ऋतस्य पिप्रतः प्र यद् भरन्त वह्नयः ।विप्रा ऋतस्य वाहसा

जब वाहक (पुरोहित), ऋत की संतान का पोषण करते हुए, आगे लाते हैं, यानी विप्र ऋत के वाहन से (स्तुति आगे लाते हैं)।

When the conveyors (the priests), furthering the offspring of truth, bring forward (the praise), the inspired poets do so with the vehicle of truth.

कण्वाः इन्द्रं यद् अक्रत स्तोमैर् यज्ञस्य साधनम् ।जामि ब्रुवत आयुधम्

जब कण्वों ने स्तुतियों से इन्द्र को यज्ञ को सिद्ध करने वाला बनाया, तब उन्होंने (उसे) अपना बन्धु और अपना आयुध कहा।

When the Kanvas, with their praises, made Indra the one who brings the sacrifice to success, they called him their kinsman and their weapon.
