इन्द्र की स्तुतिPraise of Indra

अस्तावि मन्म पूर्व्यं ब्रह्मेन्द्राय वोचत ।पूर्वीर् ऋतस्य बृहतीर् अनूषत स्तोतुर् मेघा असृक्षत

प्राचीन स्तुति गाई जा चुकी है; इन्द्र के लिए ब्रह्म (स्तुति-वचन) बोलो। ऋत की अनेक विशाल ऋचाएँ गूँज उठी हैं, स्तोता की प्रज्ञाएँ (स्तुतियाँ) उमड़कर बह निकली हैं।

The age-old hymn has been sung; speak a sacred formulation to Indra. The many lofty verses of truth have resounded, and the praiser's insights have poured forth.

तुरण्यवो मधुमन्तं घृतश्चुतं विप्रासो अर्कम् आनृचुः ।अस्मे रयिः पप्रथे व्ŕ̥ष्ण्यं शवो ऽस्मे सुवानास इन्दवः

वेग से आगे बढ़ते विप्रों ने मधु से भरे, घृत टपकाते अर्क (स्तुति-गान) को गाया है। हमारे पास धन फैला है, वृषभ जैसा बल भी; हमारे लिए ही इन्दु (सोम-बूँदें) निचोड़ी जा रही हैं।

Eager and swift, the inspired poets have chanted a song full of honey and dripping with ghee. Wealth and bull-like strength have spread out for us, and for us the soma drops are being pressed.
