इन्द्र की स्तुतिPraise of Indra

अधा हीन्द्र गिर्वण उप त्वा कामान् महः ससृज्महे ।उदेव यन्त उदभिः

हे गीतों के प्रेमी इन्द्र, अब हम अपनी बड़ी कामनाएँ तुम्हारी ओर छोड़ते हैं, जैसे जल के साथ जल में चलते लोग।

So now, Indra, lover of songs, we release our great desires toward you, like people going along the water with the waters.

वार् ण त्वा यव्याभिर् वर्धन्ति शूर ब्रह्माणि ।वावृध्वांसं चिद् अद्रिवो दिवेदिवे

हे शूर, हे वज्रधारी इन्द्र, जैसे धाराओं से जल बढ़ता है, वैसे ही ब्रह्म-वचन (स्तुतियाँ) तुम्हें, पहले से बढ़े हुए को भी, दिन-प्रतिदिन बढ़ाते हैं।

As water swells with its streams, hero, so the sacred formulations strengthen you day after day, mighty one of the stone, even though you are already strong.

युञ्जन्ति हरी इषिरस्य गाथयोरौ रथ उरुयुगे ।इन्द्रवाहा वचोयुजा

वे गाथा (गीत) के द्वारा वेगवान इन्द्र के दोनों हरि घोड़ों को चौड़े जुए वाले विशाल रथ में जोतते हैं। ये दोनों घोड़े इन्द्र को ले जाते हैं और वचन से जुतते हैं।

With song they yoke the two bay horses of the impetuous one to the wide chariot with its broad yoke: the two that carry Indra, yoked by speech.
