शत्रुओं से रक्षा के लिए प्रार्थनाPrayer for protection from enemies

स्वस्तिदा विशां पतिर् वृत्रहा विमृधो वशी ।व्ŕ̥षेन्द्रः पुर एतु नः सोमपा अभयंकरः

कल्याण देने वाले, प्रजाओं के स्वामी, वृत्र को मारने वाले, शत्रुओं को हटाने वाले, सबको वश में रखने वाले, बलवान वृषभ, सोम पीने वाले और अभय देने वाले इन्द्र हमारे आगे चलें।

May Indra go before us: the giver of well-being, lord of the clans, slayer of Vritra, scatterer of foes, the one in control, the bull, the soma-drinker who makes us safe from fear.

वि न इन्द्र म्ŕ̥धो जहि नीचा यछ पृतन्यतः ।अधमं गमया तमो यो अस्माꣳ अभिदासति

हे इन्द्र, हमारे शत्रुओं को मार भगाओ, हम पर चढ़ाई करने वालों को नीचे गिराओ। जो हमें दबाना चाहता है, उसे सबसे नीचे के अन्धकार में पहुँचाओ।

Indra, strike down our enemies and bring low those who march against us. Send into the lowest darkness whoever tries to subdue us.

वि रक्षो वि म्ŕ̥धो जहि वि वृत्रस्य हनू रुज ।वि मन्युम् इन्द्र वृत्रहन्न् अमित्रस्याभिदासतः

राक्षस को और शत्रुओं को मार भगाओ, वृत्र के दोनों जबड़े तोड़ दो। हे वृत्रहन्ता इन्द्र, हम पर आक्रमण करने वाले शत्रु के क्रोध को नष्ट कर दो।

Strike away the demon and the foes, shatter the jaws of Vritra. Indra, slayer of Vritra, break the fury of the enemy who attacks us.

अपेन्द्र द्विषतो मनो ऽप जिज्यासतो वधम् ।वि महच् छर्म यछ वरीयो यावया वधम्

हे इन्द्र, द्वेष करने वाले का मन हमसे दूर करो, हमें दबाना चाहने वाले का हथियार दूर करो। बड़ी और विस्तृत शरण दो, और हथियार को हमसे दूर रखो।

Indra, turn away the mind of the one who hates us, turn away the weapon of the one who wants to overpower us. Grant us great, wide shelter, and keep the weapon far from us.
