१अं॒॒शुना॑ ते अं॒॒शुः पृ॑च्यतां॒ परु॑षा॒ परु॑र्ग॒न्धस्ते॒ काम॑मवतु॒ मदा॑य॒ रसो॒ अच्यु॑तोऽ॒मात्योऽ॑सि शु॒क्रस्ते॒ ग्रहोऽ॒भि त्यं दे॒वं स॑वि॒तार॑मू॒ण्यो᳚ः क॒विक्र॑तु॒मर्चा॑मि स॒त्यस॑वसं रत्न॒धाम॒भि प्रि॒यं म॒तिमू॒र्ध्वा यस्या॒मति॒र्भा अदि॑द्युत॒थ्सवी॑मनि॒ हिर॑ण्यपाणिरमिमीत सु॒क्रतुः॑ कृ॒पा सुवः॑ ।प्र॒जाभ्य॑स्त्वा प्रा॒णाय॑ त्वा व्या॒नाय॑ त्वा प्र॒जास्त्वमनु॒ प्राणि॑हि प्र॒जास्त्वामनु॒ प्राण॑न्तु ॥ अनु॑ स॒प्त च॑
तुम्हारा डंठल डंठल से, पोर पोर से जुड़े; तुम्हारी गन्ध इच्छा पूरी करे और मद दे; तुम्हारा रस अक्षय है, तुम (हमारे) घर के साथी हो, तुम्हारा ग्रह (पात्र) उज्ज्वल है। दोनों लोकों के देव, कवियों का संकल्प रखने वाले, सच्ची प्रेरणा देने वाले, रत्न देने वाले सवितृ की मैं प्रिय विचार के साथ स्तुति करता हूँ, जिसकी प्रेरणा पर उसकी ऊँची दीप्ति चमकी; स्वर्ण-हाथ वाले उस कुशल देव ने अपने तेज से स्वर्लोक को नापा। प्रजाओं के लिए तुम्हें, प्राण के लिए तुम्हें, व्यान के लिए तुम्हें; तुम प्रजाओं के अनुसार साँस लो, प्रजाएँ तुम्हारे अनुसार साँस लें।
Let your stalk be joined with stalk, joint with joint; let your scent serve desire, for exhilaration; your juice is unfailing, you are one of the household, bright is your cup. I sing, with a dear thought, to the god Savitar of the two worlds, who has a seer's insight, whose impulse is true, who bestows treasures — at whose impulse his lofty radiance has shone; golden-handed and skilful, he measured out the heaven with his brilliance. You for the creatures, you for the in-breath, you for the through-breath; breathe after the creatures, let the creatures breathe after you.
