१वस्व्य॑सि रु॒द्राऽस्यदि॑तिरस्यादि॒त्याऽसि॑ शु॒क्राऽसि॑ च॒न्द्राऽसि॒ बृह॒स्पति॑स्त्वा सु॒म्ने र॑ण्वतु रु॒द्रो वसु॑भि॒रा चि॑केतु पृथि॒व्यास्त्वा॑ मू॒र्धन्ना जि॑घर्मि देव॒यज॑न॒ इडा॑याः प॒दे घृ॒तव॑ति॒ स्वाहा॒ परि॑लिखितं॒॒ रक्षः॒ परि॑लिखिता॒ अरा॑तय इ॒दम॒हं रक्ष॑सो ग्री॒वा अपि॑ कृन्तामि॒ यो᳚ऽस्मान् द्वेष्टि॒ यं च॑ व॒यं द्वि॒ष्म इ॒दम॑स्य ग्री॒वा १२ अपि॑ कृन्ताम्य॒स्मे राय॒स्त्वे राय॒स्तोते॒ रायः॒ सं दे॑वि दे॒व्योर्वश्या॑ पश्यस्व॒ त्वष्टी॑मती ते सपेय सु॒रेता॒ रेतो॒ दधा॑ना वी॒रं वि॑देय॒ तव॑ सं॒दृशि॒ माऽहं रा॒यस्पोषे॑ण॒ वि यो॑षम् ॥ अ॒स्य॒ ग्री॒वा एका॒न्नत्रिं॒॒शच्च॑
(पदचिह्न से:) तुम वसुओं की हो, रुद्रों की हो, तुम अदिति हो, आदित्यों की हो, उज्ज्वल हो, चमकीली हो; बृहस्पति तुम्हें सुख में आनन्दित करें, रुद्र वसुओं के साथ तुम पर ध्यान दें; पृथ्वी के शीर्ष पर, देवयजन में, घृत से भरे इडा के पदचिह्न में मैं तुम्हें घी से सींचता हूँ, स्वाहा। (स्फ्य से घेरकर खोदते हुए:) राक्षस घेर दिया गया, शत्रु घेर दिए गए; यह मैं राक्षस की गर्दन काटता हूँ, और जो हमसे द्वेष करता है और जिससे हम द्वेष करते हैं, उसकी गर्दन काटता हूँ। (धूल बाँटते हुए:) हमारे पास धन हो, तुम्हारे पास धन हो, तुम्हारों के पास धन हो। (अब यजमान-पत्नी से:) हे देवी, देवी उर्वशी के साथ मिलकर देखो। (पत्नी:) त्वष्टा से युक्त होकर मैं तुम्हारी सेवा करूँ; अच्छे बीज वाली, बीज धारण करती हुई मैं वीर पुत्र पाऊँ; तुम्हारी दृष्टि में रहते हुए मैं धन की वृद्धि से कभी अलग न होऊँ।
(To the footprint:) You belong to the Vasus, you belong to the Rudras, you are Aditi, you belong to the Adityas, you are bright, you are shining. May Brihaspati delight you in his favour; may Rudra with the Vasus take note of you. On the head of the earth, at the place of worship, in the ghee-rich footprint of Ida, I sprinkle you with ghee, svaha. (Drawing a line round it with the sphya and digging it out:) The demon is fenced off, the enemies are fenced off; here I cut off the demon's neck, and I cut off the neck of the one who hates us and whom we hate. (Sharing out the dust:) Wealth to us, wealth to you, wealth to yours. (Now to the sacrificer's wife:) Goddess, look together with the goddess Urvashi. (The wife:) Joined with Tvashtar, may I serve you; with good seed, holding seed, may I gain a hero son; in your sight may I never be parted from growth of wealth.
