पृश्नि॑स्तिर॒श्चीन॑पृश्निरू॒र्ध्वपृ॑श्नि॒स्ते मा॑रु॒ताः फ॒ल्गूर्लो॑हितो॒र्णी ब॑ल॒क्षी ताः सा॑रस्व॒त्यः॑ पृष॑ती स्थू॒लपृ॑षती क्षु॒द्रपृ॑षती॒ ता वै᳚श्वदे॒व्य॑स्ति॒स्रः श्या॒मा व॒शाः पौ॒ष्णिय॑स्ति॒स्रो रोहि॑णीर्व॒शा मै॒त्रिय॑ ऐन्द्राबार्हस्प॒त्या अ॑रु॒णल॑लामास्तूप॒राः पृश्ञिः॒

चितकबरा, आड़े धब्बों वाला और खड़े धब्बों वाला — ये मरुतों के लिए हैं; हल्की लाल, लाल ऊन वाली और सफ़ेद — ये सरस्वती के लिए हैं; चित्तीदार, बड़ी चित्तियों वाली और छोटी चित्तियों वाली — ये विश्वेदेवों के लिए हैं; तीन साँवली वशा (बाँझ गायें) पूषन् के लिए, तीन लाल वशा मित्र के लिए; माथे पर लाल चिह्न वाले, बिना सींग के पशु इन्द्र और बृहस्पति के लिए हैं।

A dappled one, one with crosswise dappling, one with upright dappling: these are for the Maruts. A pale-red one, one with red wool, a white one: these are for Sarasvati. A spotted one, a large-spotted one, a small-spotted one: these are for the Vishvedevas. Three dark barren cows are for Pushan, three red barren cows for Mitra; hornless ones with a red blaze on the forehead are for Indra and Brihaspati.
