१म॒हां इन्द्रो॒ य ओज॑सा प॒र्जन्यो॑ वृष्टि॒मां इ॑व ।स्तोमै᳚र्व॒थ्सस्य॑ वावृधे ॥ उ॒प॒या॒मगृ॑हीतोऽसि महे॒न्द्राय॑ त्वै॒ष ते॒ योनि॑र्महे॒न्द्राय॑ त्वा ॥ म॒हानेका॒न्न विं॑शतिः
इन्द्र महान् है, जो अपने बल से वर्षा से भरे पर्जन्य के समान है; वह वत्स की स्तुतियों से बढ़ा है। (सोम के प्याले से:) तुम उपयाम (सहारा देने वाले पात्र) से ग्रहण किए गए हो, तुम्हें महेन्द्र के लिए लेता हूँ; यह तुम्हारा स्थान है, तुम्हें महेन्द्र के लिए रखता हूँ।
Great is Indra, who in his might is like Parjanya heavy with rain; he has grown strong through the praises of Vatsa. (To the cup of soma:) You are taken with the upayama (the supporting vessel); I take you for Mahendra. This is your seat; I set you here for Mahendra.
