इन्द्र को सोमपान का निमन्त्रणInviting Indra to drink soma

आ याहि सुषुमा हि त इन्द्र सोमं पिबा इमम् ।एदं बर्हिः सदो मम

हे इन्द्र, आओ, हमने तुम्हारे लिए सोम निचोड़ा है; इस सोम को पियो। मेरे इस बर्हि (बिछी हुई कुशा) पर बैठो।

Come, Indra, for we have pressed soma for you; drink this soma. Sit here on this ritual grass of mine.

आ त्वा ब्रह्मयुजा हरी वहताम् इन्द्र केशिना ।उप ब्रह्माणि नः शृणु

हे इन्द्र, मन्त्र से जुतने वाले, लम्बे अयालों वाले तुम्हारे दोनों हरि घोड़े तुम्हें यहाँ ले आएँ। पास आकर हमारी प्रार्थनाएँ सुनो।

Indra, may your two long-maned bay horses, yoked by the sacred formulation, bring you here. Come near and listen to our prayers.

ब्रह्माणस् त्वा वयं युजा सोमपाम् इन्द्र सोमिनः ।सुतावन्तो हवामहे

हे इन्द्र, हम ब्रह्मा (मन्त्र रचने वाले पुरोहित) सोम लिए हुए और सोम निचोड़कर, तुम सोम पीने वाले को साथी मानकर बुलाते हैं।

Indra, we who craft the sacred formulations, holding soma and having pressed it, call on you, the soma-drinker, as our companion.
