जल की स्तुतिPraise of the Waters

अम्बयो यन्त्य् अध्वभिर् जामयो अध्वरीयताम् ।पृञ्चतीर् मधुना पयः

यज्ञ करने वालों की बहनें, ये माताएँ (जल) अपने मार्गों से चलती हैं और दूध में मधु मिलाती हैं।

The mothers (the waters), sisters of those who perform the sacrifice, go along their paths, mixing milk with honey.

अमूर् या उप सूर्ये याभिर् वा सूर्यः सह ।ता नो हिन्वन्त्व् अध्वरम्

वे (जल) जो वहाँ सूर्य के पास हैं, या जिनके साथ सूर्य है, वे हमारे यज्ञ को आगे बढ़ाएँ।

Those waters yonder that are near the sun, or with which the sun is, may they speed our sacrifice onward.

अपो देवीर् उप ह्वये यत्र गावः पिबन्ति नः ।सिन्धुभ्यः कर्त्वं हविः

मैं उन दिव्य जलों को बुलाता हूँ, जहाँ हमारी गायें पानी पीती हैं; नदियों को हवि देनी चाहिए।

I call on the divine waters, where our cows drink; an oblation is to be made to the rivers.

अप्स्व् अ᳙न्तर् अम्ŕ̥तम् अप्सु भेषजम् ।अपाम् उत प्रशस्तिभिर् अश्वा भवथ वाजिनो गावो भवथ वाजिनीः

जलों के भीतर अमृत है, जलों में औषधि है। और जलों की प्रशंसा से, हे घोड़ो, तुम बलवान बनो; हे गायो, तुम बलवती बनो।

Within the waters is the immortal drink; in the waters is medicine. And through the praises of the waters, horses, become vigorous; cows, become vigorous.
