१सर्व॑स्य प्रति॒शीव॑री॒ भूमि॑स्त्वो॒पस्थ॒ आऽधि॑त ।स्यो॒नास्मै॑ सु॒षदा॑ भव॒ यच्छा᳚स्मै॒ शर्म॑ स॒प्रथा᳚ः ॥ उ॒प॒या॒मगृ॑हीतोऽ॒सीन्द्रा॑य त्वा षोड॒शिन॑ ए॒ष ते॒ योनि॒रिन्द्रा॑य त्वा षोड॒शिने᳚ ॥ सर्व॑स्य॒ षड्विं॑शतिः
(षोडशी पात्र से:) सबको अपने ऊपर लिटाने वाली भूमि ने तुम्हें अपनी गोद में रखा है; (हे भूमि,) इसके लिए सुखद और अच्छा आसन बनो, इसे चौड़ा आश्रय दो। (अब फिर पात्र से:) तुम उपयाम से लिए गए हो; षोडशी इन्द्र के लिए तुम्हें (लेता हूँ); यह तुम्हारा स्थान है, षोडशी इन्द्र के लिए तुम्हें (रखता हूँ)।
(To the Shodashin cup:) Earth, on whom all things lie, has set you in her lap; (O Earth,) be pleasant to this (cup) and good to sit on, give it broad shelter. (Again to the cup:) You are taken with the upayama; for Indra Shodashin (I take) you. This is your place; for Indra Shodashin (I set) you here.
